fnatic ease past Ancient in Swedish derby at Europe Minor

fnatic are through to Group B's winners' match at the Europe Minor after beating Ancient 16-7 on Mirage.

The best-of-one stage in Berlin came to a close with a one-sided Swedish derby headlined by fnatic, who may be far from their prime but are still the third-highest ranked team in attendance. William "⁠draken⁠" Sundin was hoping for a good start from his team to pile the pressure on fnatic's players, but his team was nowhere to be seen for the vast majority of the first half.

Ludvig "⁠Brollan⁠" Brolin, who finished the half at the top of the scoreboard with 17 frags, paved the way for a dominant CT side from his team with three kills in the B site in the pistol round. Ancient responded in the third round with a force buy following three kills from Denis "⁠grux⁠" Gutaj, but there was no follow-up on their part. Fredrik "⁠freddieb⁠" Buö's troops struggled immensely to break through a stern fnatic defense and were limited to just two rounds in the half.

Ancient finally found their footing in the game after switching to the CT side as they picked up five rounds in a row, but their recovery would be short-lived. A quad-kill by Jesper "⁠JW⁠" Wecksell in a B execute broke that streak and set fnatic up for a convincing victory and a series clash against North.
