100 Thieves to make CS:GO return

100 Thieves will venture into Counter-Strike again, the organisation's founder and owner has confirmed.

In his latest YouTube video, Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag announced that his organisation is coming back to CS:GO "in full force" after a failed first venture that lasted approximately two months.

100 Thieves entered the scene in December 2017 with the signing of a Brazilian team featuring the core of the Immortals lineup that had finished in second place at that year's PGL Major Krakow.

Things quickly went sour, though, as the team missed the ELEAGUE Major due to "immigration issues", with Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe then being released in the aftermath of a heated Twitter discussion with renowned analyst Duncan "⁠Thorin⁠" Shields. The remaining players were given their marching orders shortly afterward without even making an official appearance for the organisation. They went on to team up with João "⁠felps⁠" Vasconcellos in Não Tem Como, who would later sign with INTZ.

One of the teams that could be on 100 Thieves' shortlist is the current OpTic squad, which is on the market after the organisation's parent company was purchased by the Immortals Gaming Club (IGC), the owner of MIBR.

OpTic star Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke recently dropped a hint that his team may have finally found a new home. In 100 Thieves, he would reunite with compatriot Jacob "Maelk" Toft-Andersen, who left the management of OpTic's parent company in June to join 100 Thieves as Vice President of Esports.
