MODDII becomes free agent

Andreas "⁠MODDII⁠" Fridh is no longer contracted to HEROIC, the Swede has announced on Twitter.

The 30-year-old had been on HEROIC's bench for the past six months after making room for the arrival of Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer in January in the first of a series of roster changes in the squad this year.

MODDII was one of the original members of Team X who created HEROIC back in August 2016 after being let go from SK earlier that year, helping the organization win tournaments such as Games Clash Masters and Toyota Master Bangkok late last year.

The last remaining member of Heroic's original lineup is out

In a Tweet announcing his free agency, MODDII urged interested parties to contact him with offers, stressing that he "can't wait to begin [playing] again" after the six-month period on HEROIC's bench.

almost? Dude moddii is better then rusty for sure. But moddii is lurker, he is the lurker, by far his strongest role. Rusty plays entry in ancient and doplan lurk, maybe if doplan switched to entry but dunno

Actually looks really sad that CS players are almost retiring at the age of 30 and have to beg for job on Twitter like this. Unless you are f0rest. F0rest will still be able to get a job as a pro player on tier 2 teams at the age of 40, that's for sure!

Kids saying "retire". He is still better than a lot of pros and could bring tons of experience to a growing team. All the kids hate older players.. they want them to retire to get their spots mentally. Being 30 is nothing. You just couldn't make money before, so players retired. In fotball you peak at 30+ usually. The reaction time argument is the worst too. Reaction is fine at 30 when being practised. Kids know it all.. they are so young they think 30 is old. You just have to want to play the game and still have the fire within to improve and win.. that is usually what fades and make you bad.
