Vitality join BLAST Pro Series Moscow team list

Vitality have accepted an invitation to attend BLAST Pro Series Moscow, the event's organisers have announced.

The French giants become the fifth team confirmed for the $250,000 event, joining the previously invited quartet of ENCE, Natus Vincere, Ninjas in Pyjamas and MIBR.

This will be the first-ever BLAST Pro Series event for Vitality, who are now in their third straight week as the No.2 team in the world following an impressive run that saw them win cs_summit 4 and ECS Season 7, and finish in second place at ESL One Cologne.

Vitality will attend the upcoming BLAST event in the Russian capital

BLAST Pro Series Moscow, the fifth stop in the 2019 event circuit, will be held on September 13-14 at the VTB Arena. The event will be co-produced by Winstrike and will mark the return of the traditional BLAST set-up after the Los Angeles featured several changes as part of the 'Front Row Experience'.

The five invitees will be joined by the winner of CIS closed qualifier, which will see the grand final be played on the first day of the Russian event.

There is semi-finals in Bo3 now. Only 2 teams are eliminated and the others go on semis. And this is way better than before ;)

I mean the format is a big part of the problem, if Blast events had a more competitive format they would imo be just as prestigious as DH Masters and such. But instead they choose to stick to bo1's which have been proven to be random as fuck over the years, while also not having overtimes and relying on round difference as a tiebreaker resulting in some games being decided before either team even reaches 16 rounds.

Yes it's not the best format, but I think that any top team should destroy any other lowtier team no matter what. So I kinda think this complaining about bo1 being random is totally bullshit. And if you lose more rounds than the other teams, you are not better than them period. At least that's my opinion.

worst? its just a different bracket system and the new bracket is 1000 times better. its like a big tournemant without the group stage. sure its invite only, that sucks, but still these are top teams playing semi-finals and finals in bo3s.

Yeah but the BLAST contracts kinda screws with team's schedules like Astralis not being very present and Liquid almost missing Cologne cuz of BLAST LA. Sure it's top teams but only two teams will end up playing one bo3 series (till recently). It's by far the worst compared to all the other tournaments consisting of top teams
