forZe qualify for StarLadder Major; Syman to face DreamEaters in consolidation final

FORZE took their map pick, Inferno (16-5), and Dust2 (16-6), to qualify for the StarLadder Major, while Syman will have at least one more chance to make it through when they face DreamEaters in the consolidation final.

Syman and FORZE took to the stage soon after DreamEaters upset Spirit in a two map series in the lower bracket final, eliminating one of the favorites to make it out of the CIS Minor and into the Challengers Stage at the Major.

A quad-kill by Ilya "⁠Perfecto⁠" Zalutskiy in a B push on the attacking side of Inferno put Syman in the lead, but another B play on the second round proved fatal as FORZE were able to snatch it and turn around the early rounds of the match. A triple by Evgenii "⁠FL1T⁠" Lebedev on the first gun round kept his side in the lead as they went on to expand it and take full control of proceedings early on with Bogdan "⁠xsepower⁠" Chernikov’s AWP foiling Syman’s attacks as the Russian sniper went up 16-3 with 132 ADR after ten rounds. Syman were able to get back on the board in the eleventh round, but doubles by Andrey "⁠Jerry⁠" Mekhryakov and Almaz "⁠almazer⁠" Asadullin in the following round kept FORZE solidly in the lead, going on to close the half 13-2.

FORZE set themselves up to take the first map by winning the second pistol round with a triple by almazer and a double by Dmitriy "⁠facecrack⁠" Alekseyev, but doubles by Sanzhar "⁠neaLaN⁠" Iskhakov and Ramazan "⁠Ramz1kBO$$⁠" Bashizov on the forcebuy kept Syman alive. They would only be able to pad the stats with three more rounds, however, as FORZE won out 16-5.

Maksim "⁠t0rick⁠" Zaikin closed out the first pistol round on Dust2 by trading out the last attacking player, FL1T, on the B bomb site. Perfecto then aced against a forcebuy to keep Syman ahead, 2-0. It was on the fourth round, with guns in their hands, that FORZE were able to get on the board. With 3-3 on the board, Nicolas "⁠Keoz⁠" Dgus and t0rick were able to win a 3vs2 retake on B to stay in the lead. FORZE were finally able to break the tie and won eight rounds in a row to close the half out 11-4.

FORZE inched closer to the finish line when they won the second pistol round and followed it up, taking a 13-4 lead, although they couldn’t close the match out just yet as Syman won the first round they were able to afford guns. After trading rounds, FORZE found themselves on match point, going on to win the map and match to secure a spot in the StarLadder Major.
