Luminosity bench HEN1

Luminosity have announced that Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles has been moved to the bench with immediate effect.

In a Twitter post, the North American organisation explained that the Brazilian AWPer is now a "restricted free agent", which means that, while he is free to accept offers from other teams, LG have the right to retain the player if they match the terms of the offered contract.

The announcement comes just days after HLTV.org reported that Luminosity had engaged in talks with W7M about the potential signing of Felipe "⁠skullz⁠" Medeiros, one of Brazil's hottest prospects.

HEN1 has been removed from Luminosity's active lineup

HEN1 averaged a 1.12 rating on LAN while with Luminosity, helping the team to reach the final at two DreamHack Open events in 2018, in Valencia and Atlanta. He made his final appearance for the squad at the Americas Minor, where they finished in 5th-6th place.

Luminosity have not yet divulged any future plans, with the team currently having just three permanent players as João "⁠felps⁠" Vasconcellos was signed on a temporary deal from MIBR, who landed HEN1's twin brother, Lucas "⁠LUCAS1⁠" Teles, in return.

The Brazilian team currently have:

LG has had the talent for the last year to beat any Tier 2 and below team, as well as CONSISTENTLY top MDL. But, they've been failing and missing qualifiers to non-sponsored PUG teams and mediocre Tier 3/4 teams. It's utterly pathetic. Steve Maida (their CEO) needs to take a Jack Etienne approach for once and actually ensure his subordinates are doing their job with proper management of this team. It's utterly pathetic. They should be performing at a top level. I do genuinely think LG should purchase Coldzera. They are one of the few orgs that can afford him. Literally, Luminosity is sponsored by Universal Music Canada. They have the millions to do this. LG is also running the Vancouver OWL team. They need to step up their game in CSGO or leave. It's embarrassing to see a top org struggling against nothing PUG teams. It's downright unacceptable with the resources available to them. If this were a professional sports team, their general manager would have been fired already. Get in new leadership and focus on talent bolstering and teamwork enhancement. Simple.
