Giants announce new roster with two additions

Giants have announced the signing of Omar "⁠arki⁠" Chakkor and Claudio "⁠Cunha⁠" Cunha to fill the spots left open in the roster by Luís "⁠ZELIN⁠" Lousada and Joao "⁠KILLDREAM⁠" Ferreira.

Giants released two players this summer, ZELIN and KILLDREAM, whose exits were announced in July and August, respectively. The latter of the two has since embarked on a new challenge after signing for Keyd Stars and will return to Brazil after a stint in the South American country in 2016-2017 with paiN.

arki will once again play for Giants

To replace the two exiting players, Giants have procured the services of Spanish veteran arki, who played with Ricardo "⁠roman⁠" Oliveira in a previous iteration of Giants, and 22-year-old Cunha, a former member of k1ck.

The changes come after Giants fell short in local tournaments with two semi-final runs at Masters League Portugal and the Superliga Orange Finals despite beating Movistar Riders earlier on in the year to qualify for BLAST Pro Series Madrid. They then came in sixth at their only international LAN with a 1-0-4 record, where their sole victory came against Ninjas in Pyjamas, although they managed to play close matches against ENCE and Cloud9.
