Heroic bring back Snappi

HEROIC have announced that they have re-signed former player Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer.

The 29-year-old joins the team as a replacement for Adam "⁠friberg⁠" Friberg, who quit Heroic on Tuesday to seek a new challenge in his career after 18 months with the Danish side.

Snappi is no stranger to HEROIC, having donned the organisation's colours for almost two years between 2016 and 2018. He left the team along with Jakob "⁠JUGi⁠" Hansen to join OpTic but found success hard to come by under the famed North American organisation and was released in June.

Snappi returns to Heroic

Despite Snappi's extensive experience as an in-game leader, Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer will continue to be the team's shot-caller, giving the veteran Dane the freedom "to play the positions he likes the most," according to HEROIC.

“Snappi is what we needed in the team because he brings the experience and stability that we lost in friberg," team coach Frederik "⁠LOMME⁠" Nielsen said in a statement.

"He fits into our system and roles and he’s gonna make the team and everyone in it play better. We have the perfect mix of players with insane aim and skill, while also having great teamplay.”

HEROIC, who will make their first appearance with the new line-up in the ECS Season 8 Pinnacle Cup, kicking off September 10, now have:

Yes, but he's just a support, blameF is still the in-game leader of the team as far as I know.

Like Gla1ve, and unlike Karrigan, BlameF can frag while IGL'ing, so I can't imagine them swapping either.

North didn't want him neither, MSL at that time even said he should go to lower tier CS and figure out how to play smart. I still remember when ScreaM's teammates called him dumb, all skill but no brain.

I think mertz lacked experience in teamplay etc, ScreaM is a different case, he has experience but is very monolithic, he plays very good his role but taht's about it, he can't entry, lurk, AWP, support or IGL. That's why NBK- didn't like pplaying with him, also he disobeyed some calls in the past, that's why bodyy was picked over him in G2.

A lot of people forget this ScreaM had an ego like shox and KennyS mixed on steroids, but I think his time in T4 will make him realize he needs to be a team player Mertz hard carried North Academy so he was used to the Freeplay frag style, had he been given an IGL that would've broken him in like a race horse, than he could be the highest skilled Danish AWPer atm. Heroic didn't say anything bad about him leaving, just said they needed change so maybe his team play has gotten better but I still think giving an IGL that'll force the system on him would do him good. That's something a lot of lower teams lack; a system that everyone stands by. That's what made Astralis so good, and apart of the reason Liquid overthrew them (BLAST did them in, Liquid was just the final nail in the coffin)

Yeah, exactly my thoughts. When he was at his best was when he was a lurker/rifler if I remember correctly. Then just before bringing NaTo they made him an awper... This team makes no sense sometimes. Like this move to have Snappi but still have blameF leading :D

A lot of stuffs happens behind the scene you will never know a thing of. These things might be reason for them to praise es3tag. Maybe he excels at making other people focus and play their best. Such players exist, and they are rarely praised for this trait, which have way more impact than people think. Tarik is somewhat the same. Not an insanely good player, but he is loved by everyone as a teammate, and is, according to other pro's, never being toxic. You can it being mental support or whatever. Most teams benefit a lot from having such a player onboard.

Honestly I don't see really anything that snappi could bring to the table. His IGLing hasn't been on point in ages, BlameF seems to do that job much better. Besides that, they need an AWPer. Sure, es3tag can do it, but wouldn't mertz have been the better choice? He's still under contract after all.

Really, he is not even descent, he is bad. It is not 1,6. These times are gone, that is the thing that NiP and Heroic need to learn If Zeus from navi can do something (just a very little bit, but he can tho), this one is not capable to play on tier1 level
