OMEN CHALLENGE presented by HLTV announced with $50,000 prize pool

OMEN by HP and HLTV.org have joined forces to create a duel-based tournament with $50,000 in prizes on the line.

The "OMEN CHALLENGE presented by HLTV" will be held on September 20 in an epic battle arena built specifically for the tournament, the location of which will be revealed shortly. Eight players, including five of the world's best talents, will duke it out in this action-packed competition to determine the greatest aimer.

The tournament will be played in a custom-built map designed to push players to their limits. The first stage will see the players square off in a series of four-player free-for-all deathmatch games, each one with three rounds. Each player takes part in seven games and faces every opponent three times, resulting in 14 games in total. Once all the duels are over, the points are tallied up and the seeding for the 1v1 single-elimination bracket is determined.

To make spectators at home feel that they are part of the action, OMEN by HP is preparing a revolutionary augmented reality livestream designed to blur the lines between gameplay and reality through an immersive set design that mirrors the map where the action will take place.

The OMEN CHALLENGE presented by HLTV won't be just for professional players: amateurs, too, will also get the chance to showcase their skills to the world following a recruitment process that will run from September 1-8, with more details to be announced in the coming days.
