Dreamcup to act as Iberian DreamHack Open Sevilla qualifier

Dreamcup, DreamHack Spain's amateur and semi-pro circuit, will host a 16-team Iberian closed qualifier that will grant the winner a berth at DreamHack Open Sevilla.

Iberian teams will have a chance to qualify for DreamHack Open Sevilla, the last DreamHack Open event of the year, which will be taking place in the Andalusian capital on December 13-15.

Eight of the best teams in the region will be given direct invites, while four will make their way through an open qualifier and four more through the Portuguese and Spanish Dreamcup regular seasons.

The sixteen teams will be placed in a single-elimination best-of-three bracket, which will be played online, although HLTV.org has learned that details about the final are still being hammered out and that it could possibly be played on LAN. The winner will then be given an invitation to play at the $100,000 DreamHack Open event in Seville.
