GODSENT return following merger with The Final Tribe

GODSENT have announced their return to activity following a merge with The Final Tribe.

The union will see the two organisations combine resourses "with the aim of becoming a Swedish world-class tier one esports powerhouse", with The Final Tribe's current esports divisions - Dota 2, League of Legends and Hearthstone - now set to play under the GODSENT brand.

Markus "⁠pronax⁠" Wallsten, one of GODSENT's founders, becomes the organisation's second-largest shareholder "and will spearhead the CS:GO division. Contacted by HLTV.org, the former fnatic in-game leader, who announced his retirement from competition in May, confirmed that he will lead the project from the sidelines.

Little is known about GODSENT's current plans for CS:GO. The Final Tribe had entered CS:GO in May with the signing of the Vexed UK squad, headlined by former Ninjas in Pyjamas member Jacob "⁠pyth⁠" Mourujärvi. The organisation ended up parting ways with the squad at the beginning of this month, prior to the merger.

Created in April 2016, GODSENT housed some of Sweden's most talented players and reached the highest point in their two-year history when they attended ELEAGUE Major 2017 after winning the Europe Minor. The organization ceased all operations in June 2018, one week after their team had been acquired by Red Reserve.
