zet to remain in SK

A few days ago, it was reported that SK Gaming had been practicing with Mattias "Snajdan" Andersen - and were looking to replace Marcus "zet" Sundström.

However, SK Gaming have today confirmed that Marcus "zet" Sundström is still very much a part of SK Gaming - and that there are no plans to replace him in the immediate future.

Alexander T. "TheSlaSH" Müller, managing director at SK Gaming, released a statement on German site readmore.de regarding the recent rumours.

"zet will play this coming weekend at the final of the IOL. (Lineup: zneel, walle RobbaN, allen and zet) I think that says enough. It is true that Snajdan has played in training with us, but this is nothing unusual. If a player is prevented [regarding zet missing his flight to Cologne], then one looks for a 5th man, at least to have match practice."

SK Gaming consist of:

Jimmy "allen" Allén
Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström
Dennis "walle" Wallenberg
Jim "zneel" Andersson
Marcus "zet" Sundström

I think something needed to be said though. Otherwise a lot of people would have been waiting for answers, and rumours could have got out of hand... This way it stops the rumours before they really have chance to begin

yeah i understand that, but in my humble opinion this statement only caused more confusion instead of setting the situation straight. or im just a retarded reader, i dont know but .. why would they play with snajdan because zet missed his flight?!?!? was it known beforehand that he couldn't take that flight and if so, shouldn't they've played with face instead(?) and if they practiced with snajdan after the event, well .. why would they do that? just confusing.

just in case there was more to it than the flight. they had to be prepared just in case considering IOL is coming up. that was my understanding of it :)

not at all. nothing 'fake' was posted at all. It was reported by nixon that SK had been practicing with Snajdan (which they had)... just in case lineup changes needed to be made. All we do here at hltv.org is post the facts of things, yet try to provide you with the latest news as and when it happens... meaning that sometimes things develop after the initial post has been made...

Well look in this way- The team is participating at one of the tournaments.The player doesnot show up.The team practices with some other guy.Next day you have headline saying that the team has dinged him. You have a top team.One player is busy/he is not free/he is with his girlfriend/he is doing <insert anything you wish here> Heck.Atleast ask that guy first before posting the news online here.Call him (If you do have contacts).Be the journalist.Or may be ask the manager of the team.Or may be work a bit. If one site posts shit.Others copy it.Word by word.Later they give a small link as - source : "whatever.com"This integration and mass distribution of news is very common these days.I have to take every news with a pinch of salt (Of course not the real tournament results.They are genuine.Hatts off to HLTV for that.) So do you see what I am talking about.The immaturity of the Esports brats makes this possible.Had mature crowed followed Esports ,this would have been severely ridiculed and castigated. lol, SK had money problems too, that's why Tentpole left. they just lie as often as they can. and you are talking about times that are old enough to not represent the truth anymore. I won't look for all the news where you could feel that anti-fnatic vibe because there are quite a lot and some are old. ofc I'm not the only one who noticed it, there are always people on the SK website to point it out when they suck in the way they talk about another team. plus there are good reasons Sam Matthews asked his team a while ago not to talk with SK's interviewiers. Sam is a wise and cool guy, he wouldn't do anything like that for nothing.

you're right, I have been a fnatic fan since the beginning of my interest in competitive CS, but I do read their news closely and never seen anything against SK, I really mean never. even if I dislike SK, I would have noticed it, because I think there shouldn't be any kind of war between the teams/orgas outside of the game. Sam's statement was actually reported by somebody at SK and all its reported content is what I said previously.

Of course they shouldn't start a cold war amongst themselves though them disliking eachother is nothing wrong imo... It's just good with some REAL competition sometimes. :) I think that'd just make a good foundation for better cs, and more motivation=better teams!

i agree. i still can remember when SK played against mym on dd2 and zet was just destroying them. and everybody on forum were like "OMG! zet is the best!" i hate that behaviour. when some player/team is in a very good shape, they've got SO MANY fans (like fnatic atm). when the team/player goes down, their fans just disappear..

Maybe instead of having posted the previous rumors as news it should have been done in a some sort of 'confirmation pending' section. Presumably that way rumors would be less misleading for some users. As a name of the section/"news" header I would come up with: Noise in the bush Yeah, just like in the movies, you hear a noise there and you are not sure if it is what you think or not, just like rumors ;)
