HAVU qualify for DreamHack Open Rotterdam

HAVU secured a spot at DreamHack Open Rotterdam by beating GamerLegion 2-1 (16-7 Train, 12-16 Overpass, 16-12 Dust2) in the grand final of the Closed Qualifier.

The Finnish side took down pro100 and Heretics to reach the final of the European qualifier where GamerLegion, now playing with a fully-Swedish lineup, was waiting for them. The series started on Train, where HAVU's AWPer Lasse "⁠ZOREE⁠" Uronen had a stellar performance, helping his side to a dominant 11-4 T side half which was converted into a 16-7 victory.

The action then moved to Overpass, where GamerLegion had a much more respectable showing. Tim "⁠nawwk⁠" Jonasson was leading the charge for the Swedes and GamerLegion was able to close out their map pick, 16-12. Finally, Dust2 was left to decide the matter of who is going to qualify for the $100,000 tournament in Netherlands.

HAVU kicked things off with a six-round streak as CT before GamerLegion bounced back to finish the half with nine in a row. However, ZOREE was activated on the offense once again and the Finnish side performed admirably as Terrorists to claim the map 16-12 and book their ticked for the upcoming DreamHack Open event.

No, we havent? Where have we ever seen a female team go up versus a male team in a serious LAN tournament? I have personally seen it like once.

Oh so you think it will make any difference between playing vs males online and on lan? Because online women pro teams always get trashed not even by t4 male teams, but by complete unranked random dudes that don't even have a HLTV player page.

Of course it makes a difference? Online and LAN are two different things if you havent noticed. Anything can happen in a bo1 online but on LAN is where it really matters.

WHat do you mean thats your point? You said "we have seen plenty of time how it ends" which we havent, so thats what I responded to. I am not going to disagree with you that women have been thrashed online by men most times they have played official matches but it sounded in your original statement as if they had been thrashed on LAN several times, which has pretty much NEVER happened.

I meant they got trashed several times in every time they played men (always online). The reason they never been trashed on lan is because they always lose to t6 male teams on the qualifiers. Now they had a female-only qualifier (lol) so we will be able to see the shame in their faces live, when they get destroyed by the Benelux qualifier winner.
