TYLOO round out IEM Beijing team list
Following their 3-2 Asia closed qualifier grand final victory over Invictus, TYLOO have secured the final slot at IEM Beijing 2019.
TYLOO made the cut for the LAN finals of Beijing after traversing both the Greater China and Asia closed qualifiers. YuLun "Summer" Cai and company fell short of qualification via their national qualifier, having sustained a 0-2 loss to Invictus in the consolidation final, and had to fight for a ticket to the IEM event in the regional tournament.
The Chinese team went on a solid upper bracket run in the closed qualifier, which did not feature MVP PK as the South Korean decided to skip the tournament due to roster issues. TYLOO defeated Lucid Dream, Mazaalai and BOOT to secure a spot in the best-of-five grand final, in which they would have a shot at revenge against Invictus.

Having come from the upper bracket, TYLOO entered the final series with a map advantage, which proved to be a difference-maker for the Chinese squad. Initially, the team conceded back-to-back maps in Overpass (10-16) and Mirage (13-16), the former their own map pick. Dust2 saw the favourites wake up as they demolished their opponents with a convincing 16-7 scoreline, taking the series to a final fourth map. It was on Train that TYLOO managed to ensure qualification, albeit in close fashion, as Summer's charges scraped a hard-fought victory in overtime.
