Complexity have announced that they have moved Hunter "⁠SicK⁠" Mims to the bench as part of the reshuffle of their team.

In a Twitter post, Complexity explained that they are currently trying to find "a new home" for the 21-year-old, who was deemed surplus to requirements following Thursday's double signing of Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer and William "⁠RUSH⁠" Wierzba.

SicK spent six months in Complexity's starting lineup following his transfer from Rogue, in March. He was unable to replicate the form that he had shown in his previous team as he averaged a 0.98 rating during his time with Complexity, making his final appearance for the team at the StarLadder Major.

Complexity back to a five-man roster as SicK is benched

Complexity will debut their new roster in the first stage of the ESL Pro League Season 10 Americas, which will kick off on October 8. With SicK's benching, the team now look as follows:

I feel like he's that one player that, if given the right chance, could be just as good as someone like Twistzz. He played neck-and-neck with him back in the day, along with Autimatic. Both of those players have proven to be good in top teams, and I'm pretty sure he could pull his weight with proper experience (not this horseshit, bottom-barrel team). It's always been weird to me that more teams didn't try to pick him up, there's a million lesser-skilled players in NA CS that recently got a shot and proved they weren't up to snuff...

People keep saying he can, he can, hes had plenty of chances to show it on top 5 NA teams and most of the time has came up quite average. He looks good mechanically but just doesnt have that much impact in the server. I don't see how he hasnt been given the right chance at this point, hes worked under good IGLs such as MSL and Stan and has been around other talented players.

Top 5 NA isn't really getting you to the big events, only top 3. Also, he's never been on a team that could contend. Stan is overrated as an IGL, as is MSL. Most of Stan's success came from having high skill players. EG were good before he came in (and have the same issues even now), and Optic really only shined once RUSH started to step up. I shouldn't even have to shed light on MSL and his team's struggles. Anyway, when I say top team I mean a team like C9 (well, old C9), Liquid or EG, who actually play the best and compete with them. It's hard to learn from teams that never improve their results.

Stan and MSLs teams consistently improved their results. MSL lead a team to top 5 when he had the requisite talent in his teams to get there on North and Stan made noticeable improvements when he joined both Optic and CoL not to mention both teams got worse when they lost them as leaders, it's not a coincidence. EG has improved on many of their issues, they're taking series off of elite teams and finally made a deep run at the major, I definitely see more in this roster than the daps one. Top 5 is certainly enough to get you to big events. CoL were 4th and they made it to the playoffs of the major under stan, dont see anything close to that without him. Sick didnt belong on that C9 roster the same way he doesnt belong on EG or TL right now, he simply doesnt perform well enough. Hes been on tier 2 NA teams for 2 years now and has never once shown hes capable of moving up, he rarely takes over games/series and struggles with consistency. Say what you want about stan and MSL but they are 2 of the most respected IGLs in their respective regions and in most peoples lists would be top 10 IGLs in csgo history, while sick isnt even close to making a list such as that. If hes incapable of finding individual success under talented leaders such as them then he simply doesnt belong at the next level
