Gravitas release CS team

Gravitas Gaming have parted ways with their Counter Strike 1.6 team - ahead of a move which will ultimately see the organization close its doors.

Gravitas Gaming have recently seen a bad spell due to roster changes, and inactivity. Recent matches have seen Dan "MehLer" Mehler playing - because of Ediz "goodfornothing" Basol taking several long holidays. Gravitas Gaming have now released their Counter Strike team.

Basol, in game leader for the former Gravitas team told compLexity's website:

"We appreciate what gravitas did for us while we were their cs team and they were always true to their word. It just seems the ownership has come to a point in their lives where they want to move on so I respect their decision. We are gonna keep playing cs as a team though so in that respect nothing has changed."

When contacted by HLTV.org, Gravitas Gaming management simply said:

"GG is dead. We're not losing just the 1.6 team but shutting GG down."

The former Gravitas Gaming lineup was:

Ben "ben" Hui
Derrick "impulsive" Truong
Thomas "thoMz" Garcia
Joe "perez" Perez

its all because they lost to faced gaming last night pretty sure, they haven't been doing too good lately in esea invite. i think they were supposed to show up at WCG USA qual. anyways, faced gaming is my friends team and they'll be at wcg USA qual. very sad what happened to them, last season of esea invite they put up a fight to complexity and EG.

They have had some shocking results lately... Its a hard fall from NA's top gaming org to being beaten by relatively un-known teams. But the descision hasn't come because of that. It is the whole organization closing down, simply because of the management wanting to move on. They wouldnt shut down WOW, QuakeLive and cs1.6 just because of a CS result. I thought it was strange the other day when their domain name expired and wasn't re-registered for 3 days...

ye i saw the match until 13-2 and basically i thought it was over sfX was singing LOL. so i left because no point of watching but gratz to them winning 21-17 i found that out today earlier. and faced gaming isnt really unkown has a history of great players ex. dboorN, evolution

they are the best suited american team to compete with the euros we have seen complexity and EG both play awful against top tier talent and now this is going to bring USA's ability on international way down ... oh wait, our CS scene is alrdy horrid.

GG has been one of the more consistent mid level teams in the professional division...In my opinion they are the 3rd best LAN team in NA and that's all that should really matter. I have no doubt someone will pick them up...i would laugh slightly if faced gaming drop f5 to pick them up...but that's just my evil wish ;)
