Renegades win Group A upper bracket final over Vitality

It took Renegades two maps to win the Group A upper bracket final over Vitality, moving on to the playoffs' upper bracket and sending the French team to the consolidation final where they will play fnatic or MIBR.

Justin "jks" Savage clutched a 1vs3 in Palace of Mirage to deny Vitality a plant on A. The Australian team were then off to the races. Down 0-6, Vitality made another big error, missplanting the bomb for Renegades to win a 3vs5. It all went downhill from there for the French team, who were only able to win one round in the whole half, forfeiting their chance at upsetting Renegades on their map pick. Despite winning the pistol round, Vitality were unable to stop a B play as jks and Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai won a 2vs2 to hit match point, going on to close the map out the following round, 16-2.

Renegades were in control of the series at all times

Four USP-S kills by Gratisfaction on the CT side of Nuke cleared the way for Renegades to retake the A site and defuse the bomb. The match once again went downhill for Vitality who were nowhere to be seen on the server, losing round after round in a replay of Mirage. The French team managed to win one round, on the tenth, although were unable to follow it up. A 1vs4 clutch with no kevlar by Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut propelled Vitality to win the remaining rounds to make it 5-10.

Renegades reverted the situation, winning another pistol round to keep a hefty lead, but Vitality then put pressure on A to dominate the forcebuy round. Losing the first buy round, the Australian team called a timeout as they were starting to feel some pushback for the first time in the series. Just as it was getting close, Renegades won a close round thanks to a stealthy play by Aaron "AZR" Ward who infiltrated the A site behind enemy lines, clearing the way for Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas to win a 1vs1 clutch. They then followed it up to take a 13-10 lead, going on to close map and match out 16-12.

TRUE! Admittedly they didn't have the best results during the summer, but they showed some great cs in this tournament.

the summer had it reasons though, all the visa issues not being able to prac properly having to play with standins then once the visa got sorted only having 2 days to prac as a team before a big event. there was a legit reason for the form drop

Yeah. Renegades has the team play of at least a top 5 team. I'm not trying to clown on them for their poor results either, I'm just happy to see that they are performing like how they did at the Katowice and Starladder majors.
