fnatic emerge victorious over MIBR in group A lower bracket final

fnatic are through to the group A consolidation final having bested MIBR 2-0 on Inferno (16-10) and Mirage (16-10).

The group A lower bracket final series kicked off on Inferno, where MIBR commenced their defensive campaign with a successful pistol round made possible by Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo's USP-S triple kill. The Brazilian five kept the ball rolling despite conceding to fnatic's first full buy, leading to a solid 5-1 lead in the early stages of the half. Unsatisfied with the dynamic of the initial stages, Maikil "⁠Golden⁠" Selim and Ludvig "⁠Brollan⁠" Brolin took things into their hands, consistently posting outstanding individual performances with multi-frags, facilitating an 8-7 surplus for their team at half time.

A consecutive pistol round for MIBR allowed the Brazilian squad to once more assume a lead at 10-8, but their pursuit on the offense lacked longevity, halted by a M4A4 quad kill from Golden. Back-to-back triple kills for Brollan added to the inspiration to succeed for fnatic, and with this momentum in their sails the Swedes confidently shut down their opponents in the ensuing five rounds, concluding Inferno 16-10.

Once more FalleN spearheaded early efforts for MIBR, once more landing a triple kill on the team's T-side pistol round. The Brazilian quintet proceeded to shut down fnatic in the following two rounds, featuring another set of 3Ks from Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe and captain FalleN. The T's dominance persisted to a seven-round lead, at which point the Swedes had finally found success where few would search for it - a pistol buy. An AWP triple kill by Jesper "⁠JW⁠" Wecksell ensured a further two rounds, and after a bout of turbulence, the team was able to close the half with a 6-9 performance.

The second pistol affair went the way of fnatic, who went on equalise the scoreline at nine apiece shortly after the early success. The Swedish offense did not stop here, as consecutive rounds were accrued, stopped just two short of closing the series by kNgV-'s AWP triple kill. The Brazilian's AWPers effort did not yield any long-term benefit to the team, as MIBR proceeded to struggle on the defence to a 10-16 loss, conceding the series as a result.
