cs_summit will return with its fifth edition on December 12-15, the organizers have announced.

The tournament will once again be held at the Summit studios in Los Angeles, California, where a so far unspecified number of teams will battle for a $150,000 prize pot, which also remains unchanged from the previous editions.

The event's dates clash with the BLAST Pro Series Global Final, taking place on December 13-14, for which Astralis, Liquid, and FaZe have so far qualified, with Ninjas in Pyjamas being a strong candidate to lock down the final spot.

Vitality won cs_summit 4 over Liquid

The fourth edition of the tournament, which was held in late May, marked an important milestone in the rise of Vitality, who beat Liquid to the title to reach the top-five of HLTV.org's team ranking, where they remained for the majority of the following five months.

no, swag was definitely the bigger loss people forget how bad NA CS was compared to EU CS at the time, yet brax would nearly always put up fantastic numbers against them he was the biggest talent NA had, and he got banned steel & dazed were also big losses, but IMO not as big

We were missing IGL's here until basically last year when Daps and Nitro emerged. Sean hasn't been super relevant since 2015 and ultimately he didn't have the right talent mix. In other words while I agree Swag was a big loss and probably set the scene back a year on it's own I think long term Steel was the biggest missing asset. He is servicable as a fragger even at 28 versus T1 European teams and he eats up T2 NA teams. Just one guys opinion though and I can totally see why most people would value the potential of a 17 year old kid much higher. And he probably would have had about three years to himself on NA's best rifler list had he been allowed to compete.

I liked the first 2 cs_summit events. After that, it started to go downhill. I wish the top 3 teams in the world would attend this lower tier LAN. Just get 3/4 of the top 4 in this event and it will be great..

I do like this tournament's "format" for lack of a better term. It's a pretty chill setting and a lot of teams that won Summit went onto bigger and better things afterward. Can be a coming out party of sorts. Certainly was for Liquid then Vitality.

I would love to see it, just for the fun of it. This tournament is more laid back, and I'm there for the laughs and content, and some laid back games. Wouldn't mind watching steel tbh, even if he will lose all the games.
