FaZe and Ninjas in Pyjamas obliterate Astralis and Cloud9 in BLAST Pro Series openers

FaZe and Ninjas in Pyjamas started their BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen with wins over Astralis and Cloud9, respectively, the former 16-2 on Inferno and the latter 16-6 on Overpass.

Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth won a 1vs2 on the A site of Inferno defending the bomb in an afterplant situation to put Astralis in the lead early on against FaZe. After losing the second round, FaZe went on an almost full eco, which they were able to win as Helvijs "broky" Saukants downed three. Ahead 3-2, Håvard "rain" Nygaard and Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer were able to win a 2vs2 afterplant with time to defuse to keep their lead. FaZe kept the pressure up, winning every single round to close out the half with a 13-2 lead.

olofmeister’s AWP was too much for Astralis

FaZe hit the B site on the second pistol round, taking control of it after getting two entries and winning it to get closer to map point, which they did and followed up in the next two rounds to end the map with an incredible 16-2 scoreline.

Kenneth "koosta" Suen won a 1vs2 afterplant situation on the A site of Overpass to end with three kills in the first pistol round to help Cloud9 take the first round. The North American side then took a 3-0 lead before losing their first, having to forcebuy the following round. Ninjas in Pyjamas then brought it within one, going on to tie it up against a full eco. Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg then got an ace in the ninth as the Swedes cruised on in the defending side to a 12-3 half.

NiP made quick work of Cloud9 on the CT side of Overpass

Two entries by Fredrik "REZ" Sterner cleared the way for Ninjas in Pyjamas to keep plowing through Cloud9 despite a triple by koosta on the B site. The Swedes won two more to get on map point, 15-3, when Cloud9 started to go back to life, although they were only able to win three before Ninjas in Pyjamas put the last nail in the coffin ending it 16-6.

That would be a pretty cool game mode tbh. Definitely not competitively viable but might be fun for showcase matches.

Countless people have told me to make it a book but I don't think people would be interested in reading something that is made entirely of metaphors and symbolism. I can send you some parts of the story right now if you are interested—but I warn you, it makes absolutely 0 sense for everybody. People like what I write but they have no idea what I am talking about. :D Let me know if you really want to read some of the stuff.
