DreamHack Open Winter to be played on latest patch with agents disabled
DreamHack have joined ECS and ESL in banning the use of the new player models in their tournaments.
The latest update to CS:GO brought a price increase to the SG553 and buffed the Galil and Famas. Along with the weapon changes came a new operation, Shattered Web, and the ability to change the player models the same way as one would with weapon skins.
The new player models, called agents, have not been without criticism, however, as certain models can create a competitive advantage in certain situations due to visibility issues as Roald Van Buuren, FACEIT's Director of Esports, put it when tweeting that they would not be used at the upcoming ECS finals.

One day after FACEIT, ESL issued a similar statement, also via Twitter, aligning themselves with ECS and the CSPPA in not allowing the new agents to be used in their tournaments for the time being.
DreamHack have now come out and joined the aforementioned tournament organizers in banning the new agents at DreamHack Open Winter, which is set to take place from November 29th to December 1st in Jönkoping, Sweden, and where the new patch will be in play.
The Swedish tournament organizer also stated they will monitor the developments surrounding these new player models ahead of DreamHack Open Sevilla, the last stop in the Open tour this year which is slated to take place mid-December.
