Official: Codewise Gaming to pull Aristocracy funding

Codewise Gaming have officially confirmed that they will stop backing the Aristocracy team.

In a Facebook post, it was announced that Codewise Gaming are ending their cooperation with the team today, less than six months after taking over the Aristocracy lineup and brand.

The news follows reports from several media outlets - including HLTV.org - that the players were on the lookout for a new home after Codewise Gaming's sudden decision, which took the team by surprise as they were hoping to build a long-term project with the organisation.

The team's search for a new organisation continues

Since leaving devils.one in February due to a falling out with the organisation, Aristocracy have found success hard to come by, only winning the ESL Polish Championship Spring Finals. The team will have to fight to keep their spot in the ESL Pro League in the relegation stage after finishing last of their group following defeats to Astralis, fnatic and North.

Wiktor "⁠TaZ⁠" Wojtas's charges, who will play under the name "ARCY" until a new organisation is found, will take part in this weekend's ESL Polish Championship Autumn Finals, where a spot in the IEM Katowice closed qualifier and almost $40,000 will be on offer. In two weeks' time, they will travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina to attend the QI Banja Luka tournament.

Aristocracy was a name of TaZ mix, tho Codewise Gaming decided to fund them (previously we had Codewise Unicorns here in poland) so now we had "Aristocracy by Codewise Gaming" Codewise decided to leave them after only 3 months of working together, so ARCY again is playing as a orgless

playing online and on lan are completly diferente thing, and some players are eay better playing in one of those environments… no one thew anything, but when you have been playing exclusivly on lan for the last 8 years, and one of the opponenst that you are facing kills more than s1mple it's kinda hard to keep up… a good exemple of this kind of player is davidP from herectis, at least til une year ago he was destroying online and didnt do much at lans

personally I don't mind his presence on stage. I've been here with guys since they started their adventure in team pentagram. a long journey and somehow I'm in no hurry to finish it. but I agree that it has potential to be used after the end of a career. That's only his decision when it will happen.
