EPICENTER groups revealed

The groups for EPICENTER’s CS:GO tournament later this month have been announced by Epic Esports Events.

Set to start on December 17th in Moscow, Russia, the eight teams that will be taking part of EPICENTER have been seeded into two groups. Among those teams will be Vitality, Natus Vincere, MOUZ—who were invited when fnatic pulled out—, Evil Geniuses, and AVANGAR.

The European and Chinese teams to make it through the qualifier, HEROIC and EHOME, have been paired up with Vitality and Natus Vincere in Group A, while the CIS champion FORZE has been slotted with local rivals AVANGAR, as well as MOUZ and Evil Geniuses in Group B.

All matches will be best-of-three, with two groups of four teams that will be played out in a GSL format. The playoffs will take place at the Crocus Expo IEC on December 21-22, where the winner will take the lion’s share of a $500,000 prize pool.
