dupreeh claims MVP award at BLAST Pro Series Global Final

Thanks to his outstanding performances throughout the event in Bahrain, Peter "⁠dupreeh⁠" Rasmussen secured the HLTV.org and betway MVP award at the BLAST Pro Series Global Final, the second MVP award of his career.

The 26-year-old Dane started Astralis' campaign in Bahrain with an impressive, 1.50-rated Nuke against Liquid and didn't slow down throughout the event, powering his team to their sixth tournament win in 2019. dupreeh finished the event with a 1.27 rating, earning the title of the tournament MVP.

Putting his rating aside, dupreeh stood out in a number of other categories as well, being the best player at the event in terms of Kill-Death Difference (+45), Kills Per Round (0.83), as well as Headshots Per Round (0.41). The Dane was also within the top five players of the tournament in terms of KAST (74.8%), Multikill Rounds (50.3%), Damage Per Round (82.8) and a number of other categories.

This is only the second MVP award dupreeh secured in his career, with the first one coming from the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals, an event the Danes won during their impressive run in 2018.

Alongside dupreeh, his teammate Emil "⁠Magisk⁠" Reif and Liquid players Keith "⁠NAF⁠" Markovic and Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski were in the race for the MVP award until the end, but none of them managed to step up enough in the grand final to claim the medal ahead of the 26-year-old player.

Yeah definately. Should be something inbetween for smaller t1 tournaments like blasts, CAC etc. I would definitely rate them higher than DH Opens and such. Either way the blast format is going to look a lot better in 2020 so maybe they can finally step up and be good events.

hes good with everything. Just imagine his stats if he wasnt entry fragger. He can pistol, deagle, rifle and AWP... but then against so can most of Astralis team thats why they are so OP

Yeah, I LOL everytime I see that " There are teams with more firepower than Astralis " BS ... Yes they are a tactical team, but when they are on form like they have been lately there is no team but Liquid and NaVi ( on form ) that has similar levels of firepower... Last year their average player rating was 1,15 or 1,16 for the full 2018. Enough said. device ---> most consistent player in CSGO consistent top 3 last 3 years, great positional awper, great tactical awping, god with the AK too dupreeh & magisk ---> godly riflers, dup top 3 entry, magisk top 3 anchor, dupreeh = god too with the awp.. Both = gods with deagles, magisk = top 3 krieg player xyp9x ---> best "support" , best clutcher, great aim too gla1ve ---> best tactician, lots of impact kills and can rise up to carry levels occasionnally, top 3 leader firepowerwise ( could be argued top 1 ) All of them have ungodly utility usage too, great discipline, great nerves, almost flawless decision making... Really easily the GOAT team by far, and best team in the world by far too atm.

I think gla1ve is clear top 1 in term of IGL firepower. Only Boombl4 might be close, but he is still young and obviously not on gla1ve level tactically. FalleN and nexa are probably tied in the 3rd slot.

Last year he won the mvp in 9 out of 10 victories in various finals. Not sure how it looks this year, but Astralis have won 6 tournaments in total. If you truly have "no idea" you may have to rewatch them all. ;O) Berlin for starters: Dev1ce won the mvp on his birthday! Astralis have won 4 ECS titles and Dev1ce have won the mvp in all of them ... just to give you an "idea" ...

I begin to understand why you said "no idea". You seem to have your own ranking list worked out, based on what you think or like. (You may be one of only a few who counts "real frags" apart from other frags ...) That dev1ce is part of the player of the year discussion the THIRD year in a row just doesn't seem to "click" in your mind. Whether you are up against a full buy or eco rounds you STILL have to deliver the goods. Dev1ce has his ups and downs just like everybody else, but when it comes to CONSISTENCY in the long run you may have a hard time finding anyone else at his level.
