Former eUnited in-game leader Anthony "⁠vanity⁠" Malaspina is no longer tied to the organization, the player has announced.

vanity initially joined eUnited in February 2019 as part of a Swole Patrol package deal alongside Edgar "⁠MarKE⁠" Maldonado and Victor "⁠food⁠" Wong. The team failed to find much success over the following nine months, attending a handful of offline events only to be eliminated in the group stages.

With vanity at the helm, eUnited made it to the second group stage of back-to-back ESL Pro League seasons but finished last at DreamHack Open Rio, IEM Sydney, the Americas Minor leading to the StarLadder Major and ESL One New York.

vanity's time under the eUnited banner is at an end

The lackluster results left eUnited looking to make a change, with the team opting to bench the in-game leader ahead of their second EPL Season 10 Americas group stage appearance, near the start of November. Ryan "⁠freakazoid⁠" Abadir took up the mantle of captain and Kaleb "⁠moose⁠" Jayne was brought back from the bench, but eUnited were unable to improve on their results as they ended their EPL run in 7-8th place, while also failing to qualify for any of the remaining offline events of 2019.

He was doin quite well in c9, was probably the best NA entry at that point. But he was just too cocky, maybe (also) was expecting TL to pick him up (i believe pimp left TL around the same time he left c9). At least best support/entry NA player had chance to be picked up by c9 and prove he's great, thanks to bullzoid :D

hltv.org/stats/players/7808/freakazoid?m.. This is a good example of one of the 2nd places in 2015 during c9's "summer run." Complain about ratings all you want, you just dont see stats like this from any other entry. Generally entries get average stats, not even bad ones like igls and "supports."

Eunited is a dumb team. Dumb name for an NA team number one I always think they are an EU team til I remember it's the NA runaway squad. Number two they can't recruit for shit. Like if they cared why not put Steel on this team? They aren't going to do shit at a major anyway. Maybe they'd win a DH open or something with a proper IGL and a couple kids that can hit shots.
