DreamHack Open Anaheim invites revealed

DreamHack has announced the four teams that have been invited to DreamHack Open Anaheim: ENCE, MIBR, FURIA and North.

The first DreamHack Open stop in 2020 is set, with the opening match-ups for the event in Leipzig released earlier today. The tournament in Germany will then be followed by DreamHack Open Anaheim, on February 21-23, with several teams already confirmed by the Swedish tournament organizer.

ENCE will be in contention at DreamHack Open Anaheim

The first invites went to two European squads and to two Brazilian teams that live and play in North America. The former are ENCE and North, while the latter are their country's best, FURIA and MIBR.

The $100,000 tournament, which will be played in late February at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, will also have another incentive for teams attending, which will be a slot at DreamHack Masters Jonköping in June.

Joining the invited teams will be Endpoint, who qualified for the tournament as the ESL Premiership Winter champions, although the roster that will attend the tournament is still unknow as the lineup that won ESL Premiership Winter disbanded and the British organization just announced the signing of Phoenix.

The confirmed teams so far are:

Finland ENCE
Denmark North
United Kingdom Endpoint
Europe Europe Qualifier
Brazil FURIA
Brazil MIBR
North America North America Qualifier
North America North America Qualifier

he didnt sasy og tho, you actually admitted that og is better than ence lol. But ENCE is wasted spot, MIBR is wasted spot, there are better teams to add like mouz, na'vi, and we can go on. It doesnt have to be a tier 1, you can go with heroic, or big, idk. Something that atleast plays well.

DreamHack Malmö was a one exception that had top teams Becuz from my memory, there were no other big tournaments around at the same time, the prize pool was larger and was a one of out of like 10 events in the year from dreamhack

I'm not saying that ence is better, all i'm trying to say is that using _ONE_ _ONLINE_ game as a ''proof'' that they're better doesn't really make sense. Also the 2 other games were with completely different lineups (and ence won the other one) so they're irrelevant.

Lul, IEM is a tier 1 tournament, the minimum they have to do is invite this kind of teams, while the others enter by other tourneys and qualifiers, if your team isn't good enough to pass through a tier 999 qualifier, just shut up.

Not all teams have to accept the invites. Both Forze and Avengar (now VP) often avoid smaller events because they do not want to risk Burnout. Also, VP already accepted the Leipzig invite, so another DH Open seems unnecessary.
