FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier groups, schedule released

FLASHPOINT has released the groups and the schedule for the upcoming Global Qualifier, which will be held in Los Angeles.

The eight competing teams, six qualified and two invited, have been split into two double-elimination groups, which were determined by a combination of HLTV.org's world rankings and the results in the online qualifiers for the applicable teams.

The opening round of matches will feature best-of-one games, while the rest of the tournament will be played in a best-of-three format.

DETONA will take on BIG in their opening match in LA

No.1 seed BIG have been pitted against DETONA, who were invited to the qualifier following Isurus' withdrawal. The new Copenhagen Flames roster, featuring Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen and Ismail "refrezh" Ali, will make its first official appearance against Brazilian side Redemption POA, who are attending their second international LAN after competing at last year's DreamHack Open Rio stop.

The FLASHPOINT Global Qualifier will take place at the FACEIT Studio in Los Angeles from March 3-5. The top two teams from both groups will advance to the all-deciding semi-finals, from which the winning sides will secure entry into the league, joining the ten franchise partners.

The groups can be found below:

The complete schedule looks as follows:

Tuesday, March 3:

18:00 Germany BIG vs. Brazil DETONA (BO1)
19:30 Poland AVEZ vs. Canada Orgless (BO1)
21:00 Denmark Copenhagen Flames vs. Brazil Redemption POA (BO1)
22:30 Bulgaria SKADE vs. United States Chaos (BO1)

21:00 Group B elimination match (BO3)

That was my point. Seems all the big spoilers backfired on them and they just got used by teams to get better deals at esl kek.

They dont have to pay. They dont get fined. They do not get other money but prizemoney ( no revenue share). They will lose their spot next season no matter if they even win the league.

Then it would be helpful if you could share how they plan to handle things. Since last thing I heard is that there was a big buy in to join the league. But in the end almost all notable topteams stuck with esl
