ex-WICKED qualify for WCG 2009

The Polish team without an organization have booked themselves to Chengdu after winning the Polish qualifier for World Cyber Games 2009.

UBERKAT, also known as ex-WICKED, secured their attendance for the World Cyber Games 2009 Grand Finals this evening, as they topped the Polish qualifier for the event. In the final they faced PGS, who had come from a win against DELTA in the Consolidation Final.

First map nuke saw the former WICKED team take a 10-5 lead as CT. Second half with PGS as CT had a server crash, which set PGS way back, as they were currently leading big. After a server restart PGS lost six straight rounds, seeing UBERKAT win 16-12.

Next map turned out to be dust2. PGS got to play CT first half and played a fairly good defensive side, taking six rounds, while UBERKAT took nine. Second half with PGS as T, things went down to the wire, seeing UBERKAT win a lot of clutch rounds, taking a 16-11 win and 2-0 overall to qualify for Chengdu.

This ends the Polish qualifier for the 2009 World Cyber Games event. The four attending placed as follows:

they dont need orga for now,all is paid because they won 1st place, i forgot that part :p . I thougth they had won only a SPOT at the wcg, but that they had to get over there without any backing organ9isation to cover their travel expenses etc...

the boys have high standards. they expect to have high salaries, something not many organizations are willing to give. PGS and FX have offered them a place, but from what I know, they refused immediately since the $$$ was of little to the expectation. The highest bid the boys got, was from Wicked, HOWEVER that was only good on paper. They are now fighting with ex-wicked for 2 months of unpaid salaries, thinking back to what dumb move they did with not accepting the 'more realistic' promises of Crack Clan.

I watched the finale live on the Blue City, and I must admit that the players PGS deserved second place. A Polish gold, five showed them who's the best in poland:)
