c0ntact beat Copenhagen Flames in Los Angeles

c0ntact have joined HAVU in Group A's upper bracket final at Flashpoint after beating Copenhagen Flames on two maps (Nuke 19-16, Mirage 16-5).

Having last competed in mid-January still as CR4ZY, Luka "⁠emi⁠" Vuković's side successfully converted their debut under the new organization and managed to avoid ring rust during their first LAN encounter of the year in the group code-named "In-Game Feeders".

The European squad managed to clinch the win despite having to field a stand-in in Karol "⁠rallen⁠" Rodowicz, who came into the team to take Nestor "⁠LETN1⁠" Tanić's place last-minute after c0ntact lost their main candidate, Asger "⁠AcilioN⁠" Larsen, to MAD Lions.

The former CR4ZY team wins the debut under the new organization

Copenhagen Flames chose Nuke to start the series, but c0ntact were the ones to gain control on the map early as Counter-Terrorists, with the Danish side only being able to close the gap to three at the end of the first half. Once Rasmus "⁠HooXi⁠" Nielsen's team swapped to the defense, they managed to bring the game to a close scoreline after coming out on top of several tight situations, as well as a couple of halfbuy rounds.

That earned them a lead late, but they weren't able to bring the opening map to an end in regulation. In overtime, the favored c0ntact finally pulled through 19-16 on the back of 1v3 and 1v1 clutches from Otto "⁠ottoNd⁠" Sihvo and the stand-in, rallen.

Mirage was a much quicker affair. The European side got off to a great start, setting a fast pace on the Terrorist side as they didn't let Copenhagen Flames string rounds together, with Georgi "⁠SHiPZ⁠" Grigorov leading the way in a half worth eleven rounds. When sides switched, it was just a matter of time after c0ntact also secured the second pistol round with the Bulgarian adding a triple to his name, and they didn't waste any, cruising to a 16-5, 2-0 victory.

Otto is pretty shit, I used to watch all of their matches and he would always underperform or have one or two games where he went off. LETN1 is just a garbage player. They should have kicked them instead of letting go of their top best 2 players +Nexa +huNter- +Espiranto +Poizon +Shipz

They beat vitality in two bo1's in mdl which doesn't show that cr4zy was good but rather vitality have more important matches to focus on and the only other match they won was against vitality with happy which wasn't a good team. Also we've got no way to know whether letn1 actually still was igl then for all we know nexa was the igl when he came in (which he probably was considering cr4zy didn't get good until nexa joined).

Rallen would be a pretty sick upgrade if they signed him... hybrid player that can rifle and secondarily awp, would be great with Ottond as main awp. They do need an IGL though... emi is a great coach I think, not a good IGL however.
