TeSeS joins Heroic

HEROIC have announced that they have completed the signing of René "⁠TeSeS⁠" Madsen from Copenhagen Flames.

The 19-year-old's addition brings the HEROIC roster to four players, with the Danish organisation expected to announce the final piece in their jigsaw in the coming days after recently benching Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer and Astralis-bound Patrick "⁠es3tag⁠" Hansen.

TeSeS plied his trade for teams like Reason and Squared before rising to prominence in the summer of 2019, when he stepped in for OpTic. He won DreamHack Open Summer and attended ESL One New York and DreamHack Masters Malmö with the team before OpTic were forced to shut down the project after being acquired by the Immortals Gaming Club (IGC), the parent company of MIBR.

TeSeS added to Heroic's starting lineup

He went on to sign for Copenhagen Flames, with whom he enhanced his credentials as one of the rising talents in Denmark. Most recently, he competed in the first edition of Flashpoint, putting up solid numbers (1.11 rating, 1.30 Impact and 86.7 ADR) despite the team finishing in last place in the global standings.

"I’m really excited to get this chance with such good players and organisation," TeSeS told Heroic's website.

"It's a big step for me and my career and it feels great taking it with this roster."

According to a recent report from DBLTAP, the final slot in HEROIC is expected to be filled by Nikolaj "⁠niko⁠" Kristensen, who has been without a team since the disbandment of the OpTic squad. The 21-year-old donned HEROIC's colors between 2016 and 2018 before going on to play for North, Rogue and OpTic.

Called it last week. Pretty solid addition and hopefully he can continue his form in a solid roster. Not sure whether they decide to add niko as a rifler or switch the roles and put cadiaN back to IGL and add Farlig as the main AWP'er. Hoping for the last

G2 getting Nexa and Hunter specifically broke my heart when this phenomena got repeated . Crazy actually started to improve at that time.

To be fair, with Tricked, that's very intentional. The entire organization is built up around the concept of being a stepping stone for players to achieve more. Kind of like an academy team, but for players who are already established, their goal is to find something that works and then send their players out to another org which is interested in taking a team hopefully to a comfortable place in T1. So, to stop my rambling, with Tricked you're gonna see that happen every time, as they will always try to fill their roster with lower tier talents with potential :)

because the game isnt as simple as "im good with AWP and rifle"? es3tag is a lot more experienced player who can do a lot of roles in game while TeSeS is still young and kind of unproven. Astralis is trying a new way of managing a team and a player who has already proved that is versatile at any given task (except IGL obviously) is certainly a better choice if you want to make that plan work

Astralis: Keeps a tight core for years, struggles through issues and become the most consistent team of all time. Every other danish org: Changes players every 3 months and hope that breeds some kind of success.

Insane addition. If this player get some experience, he can be maybe even TOP 20 Player. Now Heroic should do : -b0RUP +dycha +Thomas +Lucky This roster should go international. There are no good Danish players that they could afford. And i wouldn't risk taking niko.
