Team MVP and their CS:GO squad have parted ways, with the players set to turn their focus to VALORANT, according to Fomos.

The decision came after a period of turmoil and instability for MVP PK that culminated with the team finishing in fourth place in the East Asia closed qualifier for the Asia Minor - one of just two tournaments that they attended in 2020.

Team MVP, one of the most successful esports organisations in South Korea, expanded into CS:GO in late 2015 with the signing of a team coached by Seon-Ho "⁠termi⁠" Pyeon, who had enjoyed success during his 1.6 career while playing for e-STRO and WeMade FOX.

The MVP PK team leave the organisation and CS:GO

MVP PK attended several Big Events over the years, most notably the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals and ESL One Cologne 2019. The team also picked up title wins at a few regional tournaments, including the eXTREMESLAND 2018 Asia Finals, and came closest to reaching a Major last summer, when they placed fourth in the StarLadder Major Play-In Stage after a third-place finish at the Asia Minor.

The South Korean team become the latest Asian Counter-Strike squad to switch their focus to VALORANT ahead of the game's launch this summer. Last month, Japanese side Absolute, who had attended the WESG 2018 World Finals, suspended their CS:GO activities to prepare for the transition to Riot Games' tactical shooter.

Spray patterns are part of aiming.. and copying a spray pattern doesn't involve hard thinking, it involves repetitive training and using your muscles. Also while I agree that CS has a higher skill ceiling than COD, comparing it to R6 is completely different. R6 and CS are nothing alike, R6 is more comparable to valorant, where operators have special abilities. In terms of aiming yes CS is harder, but R6 also has way more strategy than CS:GO.

Well unlike in LoL, there wont be any franchise esports unlike in the disasterous Overwatch esports scene which is pretty much dead thanks to OWL being a monopoly. Instead Valorant will be relying on grassroot tourneys and will apparently sponsor ones with high tier prize pools like with CS majors. the reason why Asian CS cant progress is because they have less talent in capacity than any other regions (prob cz no media coverage or whatsoever) and Valve had no communication at all in Asian orgs (Valorant did this to some orgs). Even the only one that trying to make Asia a scene is ESL. (prob the only org who cares about Asia by making events there). Now the biggest Asian organisation gone from CS, its a big lost for them.

True m8 but ofc talents are not the reason there. They have a lot of those and without thinking i can say nicks like kaze, dd, even most of tyloo players. But the thing is that they are playing like they don't understand anything else other than aim, and it's the same for years. Old tyloo with bntet and captainMo were the only one team who started to break through that barierr (vici had some promise performance but it was more like 1 time show). They have money and orgs there but somehow no one can understand game good enough. That's weird to me tbh.
