Relog Media announces '9 to 5' tournament series with $200,000 prize pool

Relog Media has announced that it will organize a four-cup tournament, with $200,000 in prizes split across the series.

The online event—named "9 to 5" to reflect the time period in which all matches will be played—will spread a grand total of $200,000 over its four cups, with the first taking place from June 29 through July 15.

Each cup will begin with four GSL groups with a total of 16 teams competing, from which the top two sides will progress to a best-of-three Swiss stage. In it, the eight qualified teams will be joined by the same number of invitees, with the top eight securing passage to the playoffs.

The qualified playoff teams will battle it out in the bracket’s first round, with four invited sides awaiting the winners in the quarter-finals. The playoffs will culminate with a grand final in which $35,000 will be awarded to the victors, while the runner-up will receive $15,000.

The schedule for the series of cups is as follows:

Cup 1: June 29 - July 15
Cup 2: July 20 - August 5
Cup 3: August 10 - August 26
Cup 4: August 31 - September 16

Spirit, GODSENT and HEROIC are so far the only confirmed sides that will compete in at least one of the cups, with additional teams to be revealed at a later date.
