fnx joins Imperial

Imperial have announced the signing of Lincoln "⁠fnx⁠" Lau, completing their five-man roster.

fnx departed RED Canids at the end of May alongside another Brazilian veteran Renato "⁠nak⁠" Nakano, with little information disclosed about the former SK player's future. Since then, nak has been unveiled as a new DETONA member, while fnx has now joined Imperial.

Imperial added fnx as their fifth

The South American shuffle seems to be in full swing as a number of player changes took place since the conclusion of the ESL One: Road to Rio - South America. Most notably, Imperial saw Dener "⁠KHTEX⁠" Barchfield depart their ranks to strengthen RED Canids, while fnx went the other way to join Caio "⁠zqkS⁠" Fonseca and Gustavo "⁠SHOOWTiME⁠" Gonçalves in the team currently ranked #97 in the world.

Why does brazilians say MAJOR and 1.6 in the same sentence? Majors didn't exist back then lol ... But please explain, what tournaments counts as majors in 1.6? All big tournaments? Then like every team from 1.6 has a major :P

Big tournaments like eswc, cpl, iem, gamegune, dreamhack, etc were considered majors back then. Check liquipedia if you want to know details Only newfags say that only CSGO has majors

It wasn't called majors back then, hence u can't say it existed majors back in 1.6 ....... I started playing during the second beta in 1998 until 2011 (continued following the scene after I quit playing). Newfags say that majors existed back then ... CPL was the only tournament which could be comparable with a major, but it still wasn't a major and CPL didn't exist for like the last 5 years of 1.6. By this logic all tournaments all year was majors and players like Walle, f0rest, dsn etc has like 100 majors.

No, it was released to the public in 1999, if you are one of the two devs who made the game then ok. HL was itself released in 19 November 1998. What a fling liar you are, or you are baiting. DH Malmo won't be a major because since DH2013, majors have a different importance as they are conducted by valve. 1.6 tournaments that had the value of a CSGO Major: WCG (until 2011) ESWC (until 2011) CPL Winter (until 2006) CPL Summer (until 2006) Intel Extreme Masters World Championship (until 2012) The Indian guy is saying shit, because GameGune and Dreamhack were NEVER considered "majors" back then. Dreamhack had way more prestige and better teams, it was a important tournament, but GameGune has way less prestige and not most of the top teams attended.
