AVANT and ofnu part ways

AVANT are down to four players after releasing Chris "⁠ofnu⁠" Hanley from the roster.

ofnu joined AVANT from Chiefs in a two-man transfer in February with Peter "⁠BL1TZ⁠" Athanasatos, going on to win ESL Australia & New Zealand Championship Season 10 and coming second in DreamHack Masters Spring Oceania and ESEA MDL Season 33 Australia since then.

Having now parted ways with the New Zealander, AVANT announced they are currently in the process of acquiring a new fifth player to round out their roster, with news expected to come from the Australian camp in the near future.

"I am extremely motivated to continue my playing career, open to any and all offers," ofnu wrote in a statement, "I accept my mistakes & flaws as a player and will continue to work on them. I see this as a necessary wake up call for my continued development as a player."

AVANT are currently third in ESEA MDL Australia Season 34 with a 14-2 record, and will face Yaman "⁠yam⁠" Ergenekon's Chiefs next. They are also making their way through the upper bracket of ESL Australia & New Zealand Season 11 Stage 2 in hopes of reaching the season's finals.
