OG move on to cs_summit 6 upper semis with win over North

The international team came back from a map down to defeat North and extend their winning run in the RMR tournament.

OG are through to the upper bracket semi-finals of cs_summit 6 following a hard-fought victory against North. The international team struggled at first as they were no match for the Danes on Overpass, but they would grow into the series, securing a reverse sweep with convincing wins on Inferno and Dust2, where Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen's charges were always on the back foot.

Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen's side made it seven wins in a row across all competitions following this victory, but they could face a whole new challenge in the next stage, with a clash against world No.2 Vitality on the horizon if the French side beat HEROIC later on Monday.

North made a slow start to the series and found themselves trailing their opponents 0-4 on their map pick of Overpass, even losing the first full gun round to a 1v2 clutch by Issa "ISSAA" Murad. They wouldn't let the game get too far out of hand, however, and were in control for the remainder of the half, which ended with just one round separating the two teams following a trio of fast kills by Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski just before the break.

OG will face the winner of the match between Vitality and Heroic

OG restored parity after switching to the T side with a near-flawless pistol round, but there was no follow-up as North responded immediately with a quad-kill by René "cajunb" Borg. That was the start of a period of dominance from the Danish team, who gave the Terrorists very little room to operate, losing just one gun round in the half, with MSL putting the game to bed with a stunning ace.

The next map, Inferno, was a completely different story. Just like on Overpass, OG took the game by the throat early, but this time around they did not let go. Every time that North attempted to close the gap, OG picked up the pace and reestablished their stranglehold on proceedings, with the international team wrapping things up early in the second half after taking a commanding 10-5 lead into the break.

OG picked up where they left off as they raced to a 6-0 lead on the decider map, Dust2, with a tight and compact defense. North then finally found their footing in the game as they chained three rounds together, but OG kept their composure and ended the half up by five.

cajunb kept his team in the game with a quad-kill in the following pistol round, with the Danes following that up with the next two rounds to bring the deficit to 8-10. The 30-year-old served as a driving force as North tested OG in the second half, but the international team were in control in the gun stages and locked down the map in the 27th round after fending off a late comeback attempt.

I feel like valde is the only consistent player from this OG squad. They pretty much need a star player i would say. if they can't get any result by the end of this year, might consider to cut either nbk or isaa.

OG are not an org that makes changes at whim. So I would say this core is in it for the long haul even if they fail to qualify for two straight tournaments . As of now they are producing good enough results. Add to that nbk and aleksi are the two people around whom the entire project is built so all these -nbk and -aleksi is never going to happen. Unless something very serious irreconcilable happens. You can @ me

Mens we just speculating, obviously no change happens unless LANs become norm and they bomb them out back to back.

Still as i pointed out OG in spirit is a very different org. Bombing out couple of lans will mean nothing. They will stick with this roster for better or for worse. And NBK and Aleksi are essentially the shot callers they are not the ones who gonna be cut if it happens at all.

OG is insane. I think it's just the matter of time before they will enter TOP 15. North won't be wining with BOT Kristou. However he is not the only reason this team is that bad. They are just really bad overall.
