Juli joins CLG Red

The 20-year-old arrives as a replacement for Benita "bENITA" Novshadian, who stepped down from the roster in May to focus on VALORANT.

CLG Red briefly enlisted the services of Chris "riku" Piasecki as a stand-in while they were in search of bENITA's replacement in May, opting to add Juliana "Juli" Tosic on a trial basis in early June. With her help, the team made up for a turbulent start to the season, managing to retain their spot in ESEA Advanced for Season 35 with a 7-9 record.

"I'm really excited for the future," Juli said when contacted by HLTV.org. "Playing with the girls has been an amazing experience. I’m really thankful for the people that have supported me to get to this point, and I’m grateful for the opportunity from CLG."

bENITA took her leave from CLG Red in May, and has been replaced by Juli

With Juli officially a member of the team, CLG Red will now turn their attention to the summer iteration of DreamHack Showdown, an all-female tournament series that will play out in two parts in North America, one in summer and one in fall.

There, the team will take on the likes of Dignitas fe for the lion's share of a $25,000 prize pool, with the tournament set to play out from July 24-26.

CLG Red now looks as follows:

United States Diane "di^" Tran
United States Jennifer "refinnej" Le
United States Emma "Emy" Choe
Canada Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie
United States Juliana "Juli" Tosic

Maybe join a real team? Only then will female players be taken seriously, by competing at the highest level and not just playing each other. I’m sure some of them have what it takes, it’s such a shame that they don’t try for better teams sometimes.

+1 to original post and this. Female cs has gone absolutely no where because they’re comfy competing against each other and don’t have to strive for higher cause they get paid enough to not work harder

+1 the problem is that they can't manage to qualify to major lans But in the end, there's no discrimination. Just a real skill gap

Misutaaa didn’t . I understand what you’re getting to but I’m sure there’s women out there who have enough talent / skill / hardwork to not stay in their easy women’s leagues. I’d like to be able to see good female players but for now we cannot take them seriously. And also having women in the top 30 (let’s not get too optimistic ofc lmao) would be good for the image of CS and perhaps open some opportunities with sponsors, new tournaments, and help the game grow. Consequently help it last longer

+1 It's different in athletics, because male and female bodies are different. Having male and female leagues in CS makes no sense whatsoever. They don't do that shit in chess either. True equality would be women and men competing against and with each other, and it would elevate the level of female CS too.

Please tell me how male physique gives you an advantage over female players in CS and how the case is different for chess.

Yes, men are on average more competitive than women. It doesn't mean the next s1mple couldn't be a woman. What does the aim heaviness have to do with gender?

Aim is heavily relying on mentality too Its not that woman cant be as good as men (except maybe reaction time) but they tend to be really emotional and that isnt good for cs. It is about women in general. We would never hear anything about female cs if theyd play in normal tournaments. I dislike that women get more money than men which are atleast 5 times better than them just because they are women, but thats the problem of it all. Chess doesnt have as many subconcious decisions such as csgo as you so often have to rely on those. Sorry for bad englando

Lol I asked why an ESEA advanced team made news on this site and my comment was deleted. It’s a legitimate question. If a team wins ESEA advanced nobody even talks about it. This team barely even kept their spot in advanced and there is an article about them

I guess it's cool that some teams which are unique in some circumstances can be put in the spotlight for people who have these circumstances i.e. these players have much more of an ability to inspire others than another random ESEA Advanced team which has the same shit as the rest of them. Hence why not make an article about it? Promote support of each other, not putting each other down. It might not be inspiring in any shape or form to you, but it can be to many other people who are perhaps finding difficulty to have motivation in the game because of the stereotypes around their circumstances.

I think i see what you’re saying. Except I’m just not sure what’s unique about A 7-9 ESEA advanced team. The only thing I’m seeing different about them is that it’s an all female team. I’m not putting them down, but I’m certainly not promoting the fact that the only thing that makes them famous in counter-strike is gender. I think in today’s day and age people are trying to promote gender equality. And this kind of seems like the opposite. Whoever has been ESEA advanced champions In the past don’t get any recognition for their hard work. So rather than putting down this team I think I’m just sticking up for the teams that grind harder than them and you never even hear anything about them. Not asking HLTV to remove the news about them. But they could be more fair about their news coverage. This just inspires females to stay at a low level. A female joining a professional team.. that would be considered an inspiration for all the other females. I would say their circumstances would be unique if they were all equipped with computers that weren’t as good as the computers that the males use. Then it would make total sense. Or if all the players on this team were specially handicapped or something. It could be inspiring to other handicapped players out there.
