k1ck pick up SpEcTruM

k1ck eSports Club have announced the addition of Fernando "SpEcTruM" Sousa to their Counter-Strike team.

The Portuguese team had been on the lookout for a new member following Tiago "QUICK" Silva's decision to step down as player to hang up his mouse.

Fernando "SpEcTruM" Sousa, who attended GameGune last summer with Phantoms, is considered by many as one of the most talented players in the country, but the fact he lives in the south has hindered his progress.

Team captain Helder "coachi" Sancho had hinted in the past that Sousa would figure in his plans for the Portuguese national squad, and he has now handed the player the chance to represent his team.

"I was not expecting this invitation, as I live in the opposite corner of the country, but that won't stand in the way as I have a strong motivation and I hope that I'll be able to help the team in reaching our goals," Sousa told the team's website.
"I am sad that I had to leave Phantoms and specially to stop playing with my brother but I'll try to fit in with the k1ck teamplay as quickly as I can so that we can be at full strength in all competitions".

Sousa will have his official debut for k1ck at the Portuguese qualifier for DreamHack Winter, set to take place at the Dolce Vita shopping mall in Oporto later this month.

k1ck's line-up now stands as follows:

Helder "coachi" Sancho
Ricardo "fox" Pacheco
Joaquim "axoN" Pinto
Rui "SHOUW" Reis
Fernando "SpEcTruM" Sousa

SpEcTruM will be a good addition to the team, at least that's what I think

GameGune 09: TaZ and Neo from Wicked (Top Team winner) got the first two Top Player places respectively, with a kills/deaths ranking of 1.83 and 1.78 and a kills/deaths difference of +96 and +97. /< foxj in the third position got 1.77 and +73. Here are some individual awards: Top AWP Clan K1ck eSports Club Multigaming Portugal /< foxj And more, the Dreamhack qualifiers will come, let's see if HD goes.

No one cares about HD but I really can't believe that you listed attending some tour as 'achievement'. There are thousands of teams that managed the same over the years but still people aren't claiming them to be top10-20 like pt guys do for k1ck. Sorry, but I can't understand that. Looks childish to say the least :)

Those comparisons are not even near how much k1ck needs foxj. :P You could compare it to MiBr-cogu when he was at his prime. It's just that k1ck can't achieve what MiBr did. Though nowadays no team can really rely on just one player, it doesn't work anymore, that's why MiBr isn't as good anymore, and that's why VP and WMF for example, had to change their style of play. :)
