MAD Lions complete their roster with Paweł "⁠innocent⁠" Mocek as the team looks to head an international route.

The departure of Lucas "⁠Bubzkji⁠" Andersen to Astralis and the failed negotiations with Jonas "⁠Lekr0⁠" Olofsson have left MAD Lions a man short just days before the season kicks off. They have decided on their fifth, though, as the team has announced that innocent has joined the team.

MAD Lions go international with innocent

The addition of the 26-year-old Polish player will introduce a significant change, as MAD Lions' language of in-game communication will switch from Danish to English. MAD Lions didn't share details about the roster addition, but according to sources, the signing is as a long-term one.

Earlier in his career, innocent played in domestic lineups such as ESC, CSGL, and Kinguin, but also has experience in international teams, namely PENTA, Sprout, and Tempo Storm. Since July 2019, innocent has been representing Illuminar, a Polish team that peaked at #24 in the rankings last year and has since undergone a number of roster changes. Their new lineup, featuring Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski, has struggled to reach the same heights, with innocent showing up as their best performer with a 1.09 rating over the last three months.

"Thrilled to have the opportunity to join a team like MAD Lions," innocent wrote on Twitter, "If you know me, you know I will work my ass off to make it work, as I did last year in order to be here. Hopefully I can use this chance to prove myself on the highest level of competition."

innocent is expected to debut for the team in DreamHack Open Summer Europe and represent the team in the following ESL One Cologne 2020 Europe, as the roster lock date for the latter tournament was on August 4th.

They only spoke english when the coach was talking, otherwiese they spoke danish so yes its rip communication when you have to basically switch your whole ingame communication. Also Innocent is a massive downgrade compared to Bubzkji. Hopefully its only for an certain amount of time otherwise it would be a pretty shit move.
