MJE quits mTw

The Danish giant mTw have announced that they will undergo further roster changes as Muhamed "MJE" Eid steps down.

It was announced this evening that Muhamed "MJE" Eid will be stepping down from an active role in mTw. On the team's website it is state that Eid has important test at university coming up, which has forced him to focus on school and put gaming aside for now.

HLTV.org understands that Eid has grown tired of the game and has called it quits. On the website it is however stated that Eid will remain in the squad, just as inactive. Eid has been a member of the squad, ever since joining the mTw organization in December of 2007, also being a member of the NoA-squad for a long stint, before joining mTw. It is also mentioned that whether the team will play with a five or six man lineup will be determined after World Cyber Games 2009.

Joining up with the Danish squad will be Oliver "minet" Minet, who come directly from Spirit of Amiga. Minet has long been an upcoming talent from Denmark and despite the "funny" surname (for Russian-speakers), he has showed his worth several times.

mTw now house following:

Alexander "ave" Holdt
Danny "zonic" Sørensen
Christoffer "Sunde" Sunde
Oliver "minet" Minet
Martin "trace" Heldt

Muhamed "MJE" Eid (inactive)

The team will this weekend be present at the Danish World Cyber Games qualifier, featuring the likes of Spirit of Amiga, Roskilde Ravens and DSRack.

Too bad i don't think they will do very well :/

Why not?? You've just seen a team like SK taking in some new "goodstuff" they just won... Not saying that mTw will do exactly the same, but both minet and trace is 2 really good players..! I think they will improve.. New motivation, 2 new brilliant players...

mJe covered all the small bomb sites better than anyone i've seen in the last couple years...gl to trace and they should've picked up friis, because i don't think friis is to happy at ravens right now..

wow ... that's a shock :-\ Such a consistent roster for a long time and now two changes in such a short time. MJE was always the player who seemed to receive the least amount of praise. He played a solid and consistent game and normally played the smaller sites alone. His shoes will be hard to fill. GL to minet in MTW. Hope he does well and mTw continues to be a strong team.

The added Friis instead of trace and thats is not a poor replacement. Then i think wazorn have written on xplayn, that they will play with funatic instead of minet. Which also is a good replacement i think. So they will do fine imo.

OMG!! i knew they were gonna further make changes in the roster...but i dnt expect MJE to leave...i was expecting ave would be leaving... the 2nd shock is the addition of minet..Filling up MJE's shoe's will be a huge responsibilty for minet...and plus people will try to compare him with MJE...so there's a lot of pressure at the moment for this new guy... well, they are all under long contracts so they dont have much of a choice. either they play in mtw until the contract goes out, or they quit. all of them will be kinda old when the contract expires in 1-1½ year :)

lol, another team that goes for two young and crazy talents. fnatic with gt and gux, sk with khrystal and face and now mtw with trace and minet. seems to be a trend, what's up with this year?!?! :D not complaining though, it seems to be the way to go these days, the old ones dont got the motivation to play as much as needed, while the young ones do + bring new thinking into the team .. so, big gl!

I think this is a good thing and at the same time a bad thing.. Bad 'cuz, yeah, all the fans will be crying "mJe was so good", "There will be no one who could replace him" and etc. But guys look at brightside the team is good, but it isn't that good as it used to be, I don't really remember when did they took 1st or 2nd place in a big event. Look what happened when face and krys came to SK.. Chengdu first. So don't worry be happy because I think this is just a good thing, they need some fresh skill which they probobly get from minet.

ur wrong , old players quit at the age of 25-26 cause they cant live a normal social life and get enough money without university playing counter strike but new players rise , new players that show they can do even more dmg even than the oldschool ones but we wont forget the old ones , players that we learned to play counter strike from ;)

Im sure we will - it will of course take the new mTw a wea bit of time to get everything settled, but after that i think that we will see the new mTw be as strong as the old with whimp and MJE! Both trace and minet are huge talents - and I'm sure we will see them play very well CS in the future!
