Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo's squad is out of the $50,000 tournament after just one match, having suffered a 2-1 defeat to Wisla Krakow, ranked #64.

MIBR decided to take part in Nine to Five 3 after an early exit from ESL One Cologne 2020 Europe, looking to make the most out of their European bootcamp and get some official games under their belt alongside practice.

The Brazilians were invited directly to the quarter-finals of the online tournament, where they were the highest-ranked team, facing off against Wisla Krakow in the opening BO3. Things looked great initially as MIBR cruised to a 13-2 lead on the CT side of the Poles' map pick, Mirage, and closed it out 16-11.

Another disappointing showing for MIBR as they go down to Wisla Krakow

Train is where things turned around, as Olek "⁠hades⁠" Miskiewicz and Grzegorz "⁠jedqr⁠" Jędras propelled their team to a 12-3 CT half and helped them steal away FalleN's staple map, 16-13. It all came down to Inferno which was a scrappy affair all the way until the second half, when Wisla Krakow won a second-round force-buy and assumed control of the game, closing it out with a 8-2 CT side for a final score of 16-9.

The morale in the MIBR camp will surely not be great after today's defeat, but the Brazilians will have to clear their heads by Thursday if they want to avoid further disappointment as they are set to participate in another event, Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup 9, before returning to North America.

The $40,000 Malta Vibes Cup kicks off with a GSL group stage and MIBR are placed in group C with three CIS sides: FORZE, Gambit Youngsters, and HellRaisers - who will be the initial oponents of FalleN and co.

I think these organisations: Betway Mountain Dew Game Fuel Nitto Tire K-Swiss Razer Tinder should reconsider their sponsorship strategies and stop financing paychecks for this washed-up roster. Mibr's most notable achievements are their twitter rants and winning Zotac 2018 where they got carried by Coldzera stewie and tarik (other than mibr, the strongest team there was Polish Kinguin led by TaZ at the time). This whole Twitter tirade about how people should respect them for history is getting pathetic. for 3 years they've been irrelevant to the international scene and still living in the past and I'm saying this as an old SK fan. This whole rant reminds me of an old saying, "No FNX no major, no Coldzera no top10".

As a team I agree, they are not at the same level of tier 1 teams, but for the sponsors they are pretty relevant. tier 1 championships official streams has 70k people watching at tops, mibr puts 150k at gaules channel. Sponsors love that. For us brazilians is left the hope and dream of a big comeback. Is Mibr the one that brings 150k viewrs or are the core players Fallen, Fer and Taco?

I say it's both, fer fallen and taco are major winners so it's normal for people wanting to see them play, also mibr is a big name since 1.6 days, they won eswc in 2006 and dreamhack in 2007. If you think about it the same applies to other sports, would you want to see match featuring a famous player in their late thirties or a young prospect?

i do agree with you about their individuals being strong. Fallen is still a great awper, Fer though inconsistent but still looks like a top rifler when on and KNGV has been a great online player , its their strats and strategy and shit which needs to change. In their place i would disband the team if they don't show up big in NY and rebuild around FalleN with a completely new gameplan. They could keep some of the others as well, but they should at least change 2-3 players and rebuild the team from scratch if they dont improve massively in the next weeks.

If they want to stay with a brasilian roster they will never kick FalleN, he is the figurehead of brasilian CS and still is a very strong individual. They should have stayed with stewie and tarik, it was a big mistake to go back to a fully brasilian lineup. That was one of the reasons cold left them, he wanted to continue with stewie and tarik.

Dead is only there out of gratitude fo the help he and his wife provided in the beginning of Fallen's journey in USA. All the decisions are made by Fallen, so this build is a direct choice of his. This is extremely disappointing. MIBR is sinking fast and they need to think of something... I think TACO and FalleN should be removed from the starting lineup. FalleN can be the coach and/or analyst and the current coach can be assistant coach or analyst. TACO can't carry his weight at the top of Tier 1 CSGO. At best, TACO is a low Tier 1 pro player in my opinion. Who should they pick up to replace TACO and FalleN? I'm honestly not sure. FURIA is sticking together and won't trade any of their players. The other Brazilian organizations will probably have a high buyout at best, assuming they're willing to potentially ruin their own CSGO teams to trade their players to MIBR. What a sad time for MIBR. Pros with a great history, but lacking the skills for being able to play competitively today.

That's a good thing for MIBR. They need to lose to EVERYONE, to feel that they hit rock bottom. Only then they will 'wake up' and feel the hunger to win again. You can see how unmotivated they are... the only apparent emotion is anger. Either stop for a few months and come back renewed or go straight for the rock bottom so you find your motivation again.

People were joking about MIBR becoming the next VP but it quickly became a reality... Dare I say, they might be even worse, atm. So they kicked TACO and took one of the young upcoming brazilian "star" players, what exactly changed? I think the problems for this team are far deeper... As the saying goes "the fish stinks from the head down" that's all I say. I don't really care about them, I just find it sad they're giving a bad name to the MIBR brand - in 1.6 they were one of the best teams, exciting to watch, etc... Nowadays you just see desperation and frustration. Quite literally a sinking ship.

MIBR should just disband right now, this doesn’t change the fact that leaf and Xeppa cheated on that game. Anyway, if MIBR wants to win anything in the future, they have to get rid of TACO and Maybe Fer, TACO is worse than a bot and fer is full of Himself, always cocky about his pasts trophies and don’t think about changing his gameplay. Kngv is playing surprisingly Well (when he’s not using an awp, just rifle) and FalleN is still a great as player, maybe a top 10 awper. TRK need more time but looks like he’s getting more comfortable every day.

Bro I started watching cs a week before Columbus and LG/SK rapidly became my favourite team. Not only because they always played good cs but because I identified with them from the beginning. The language, the passion for the game which I like seeing in players/teams regardless of the sport and I was already following fallen few weeks before that. Seeing them now is just straight up sad man... but well their history will never be taken away
