The MIBR coach has been found to have used the coaching bug at cs_summit 6 and received a two-event ban from the tournament organizer, while the team has been retroactively disqualified.

Beyond the Summit explained that Ricardo "⁠dead⁠" Sinigaglia used the coaching bug during MIBR's lower bracket match against Triumph in the cs_summit 6 North America Regional Qualifier, which the Brazilian side won and as a result qualified for the main stage of the tournament.

After reviewing the situation, the organizers of the summer Regional Major Ranking tournament determined that the 34-year-old had been aware of the glitch and knew how to fix it from matches in ESL One: Road to Rio, months before he used the exploit in cs_summit 6.

As a result of the findings, Beyond the Summit handed dead a ban for their next two tournaments, while MIBR have been disqualified from the tournament retroactively and have forfeited the prizemoney they received from the seventh-eighth placing, which amounts to $2,500.

Meanwhile, Triumph have been awarded the seventh-eighth place at the tournament after missing out on participation in the main stage due to the loss to MIBR in the preceding qualifier.

At the moment, it's unclear whether MIBR will retain the 1,187.5 Regional Major Ranking points they were awarded for their placing at cs_summit 6, pending a decision from Valve.

This is the second ban that dead has been handed for exploiting the coaching bug, after he was barred from participating in ESL and DreamHack events for six months beginning on August 31 as a result of using the glitch in one round during MIBR's match against Yeah in ESL One: Road to Rio. MIBR has suspended him and launched an investigation into the claims.

Those bugs were immediately discovered and the matches were overturned (except the BIG matches). Both conflicts had resolution (fnatic match was offered to be replayed but Fnatic forfeited, BIG match was a very minor glitch and a gentlemen's agreement was reached). Also both glitches were not nearly as abusive as this one (except maybe the fnatic one but at least for that one LDLC knew they were being shot from somewhere they couldn't see). This coaching glitch gives information but the enemy team has no way of knowing a glitch is being abused.

The results weren't overturned, fnatic voluntarily forfeited the map. And BIG continued to abuse the bug despite the gentlemen's agreement. Plus, the gltch has apparently been known since 2019, so I doubt teams didn't knew they could be being watched

The result WAS overturned. Fnatic was FORCED to replay the map from the second half, but then it was discovered that LDLC also got an unfair advantage on their half and so the entire map was to be replayed, but fnatic CHOSE to forfeit. BIG did not continue to abuse the glitch. Once the gentlement's agreement was reached, they stopped. Once again, that glitch was known, and was not nearly as abusive. This glitch was not known publicly until this past August, it is far more abusive than anything else (literally giving you wallhacks, economic info on enemy team, LITERALLY everything) and also Dead is manipulating evidence to try to prove innocence when he is already guilty. Tell me where fnatic or BIG did any of that? Stop your fanboying, you are clearly biased and can't see through your own emotions.

what point? heroic is much smaller than mibr in scope of its reputation and is still building one. now they have a huge black mark which event organizers will take into account as they look for parties to invite to their events. mibr have a much much larger following than heroic ever will have and its literally the only reason they are getting invites.

i'd want them to have actual ethics behind what they do. there's literally zero assurance of quality behind the products they allow on their platform steam these days or the quality of service. besides i reported a guy i suspected to be a cheat developer months ago and so far nothing. i'm 99% sure that something shady is going on with that fucker, because he has a steam group filled with banned and unbanned accounts that are named exactly as he is and all have the same profile pictures and slight variations in names. of course i reported the group as well. i mean if this guy can exist on the platform without repercussions or actions by valve, then so could someone selling child pornography as reports go unanswered.
