MIBR, Hard Legion to have RMR points reset due to coaching bug use

Valve have commented on the use of the coaching bug and announced the punishments connected to the Regional Major Ranking and its tournaments.

Although the developers didn't name anyone in particular, the two teams are bound to have their RMR points reset following the disqualification of Hard Legion from ESL One: Road to Rio - CIS and MIBR from the North American divisions of Road to Rio and cs_summit 6.

The two teams had been handed retroactive disqualifications from the tournaments in question earlier in September as a result of their head coaches, Aleksandr "⁠zoneR⁠" Bogatiryev and Ricardo "⁠dead⁠" Sinigaglia, using the coaching bug on six maps in the Russian's case and two maps across two events in the Brazilian's.

MIBR will have to start over in the Regional Major Ranking

Valve commented on the possibility of taking action against individual coaches, as well, stating that they will wait until they get "a complete picture of the extent of the bug abuse and the punishments handed down by third parties." For the time being, the developers may consider limitations to coaching as prevention against further violation of the integrity of matches.

At the moment, zoneR, dead, and Nicolai "⁠HUNDEN⁠" Petersen are the only three coaches to have received formal bans, from ESIC and, in the MIBR coach's case, also from Beyond the Summit. It is likely that more will follow, however, after several other coaches were found or admitted to using the bug.

Actually is more complicated than that. It is not about restart or not restart the round. The Mibr and Furia's players were kinda friends. And when the round happened, the Mibr's players were expecting good attitude from the Furia's players, but what happened was that the Furia's players were on omission on the server about what was happening, ignoring the messages of the other players on chat, making the Mibr players mad about not giving a position(restart or not restart the round?) and as they were kinda friends, they were expecting that they had a great respect from the Furia's players about what the guys have already conquered to the brazilian scenario. Doubting about Fallen intentions? The round was restarted after Fallen posted a proof on twitter that they were telling the truth about their laggs. Fallen is considered the Godfather of the brazilian scenario on cs, so even as friends they were doubting about Fallen's ethic . Fer was basically pissed off about what Furia's players did, he could say nothing but I dont blame him. Basically the situation was about the Furia's omission and the pretending on their social medias about "being professional".

MIBR didn't have the authority to call for a restart, the admins do. It's not on MIBR to decide what should or shouldn't happen, their toxicity/anger is not justified. Furia did nothing wrong in this situation. It's like in football you don't beg the referee to disallow a goal when the decision has been made. Disrespectful of the admins and ignorant of the rules, that's how MIBR looked in this situation. And again it's not justified to have that reaction at all.

Nobody cares about admins decisions, this is not the point. They were expecting for a fair play from the Furia's players, the players DO HAVE voice on the server, and the Furia's player got on omission. Even in football, when a player kick on goal but a player from the other team get hurt just a few seconds before the goal, the player who kick on goal have the voice to call the referee and restart the point, otherwise they can goal against themselves just to make things fair. This is fairplay, the players DO HAVE voice, and Furia's players got on omission, thats it. Nobody cares about all the reaction, thats how things works, Fer got pissed off and wanted to express himself.

Umm no, I think it's about which bugs that affect fair play even worse and the coaching bug are one of them. The smoke radar bug, It's not as bad as the coaching bug since you're able to see the enemy on the minimap while the smoke is fading (but ofc its patched now and you have to wait for the smoke to fully fade). The coaching bug on the other hand, let's the coach see the actual position of the enemy team on whatever part of the map the coach went for. And THAT is way more broken than the smoke radar bug that Astralis used.
