The Complexity coach will play in Owen "⁠oBo⁠" Schlatter's place for the entirety of the closed qualifier.

The last-minute Jamie "⁠keita⁠" Hall substitution will come as a big blow to Complexity's hopes of making up their deficit in the Regional Major Ranking, as they've only earned 350 points so far after a 13th-14th placing at ESL One: Road to Rio and an early exit in the cs_summit 6 regional qualifier.

The team will suffer a 20% reduction of points earned at DreamHack Open Fall due to utilizing a substitution, which will increase to a total of a 36% reduction should oBo return into the lineup at any point during the Regional Major Ranking event.

oBo will sit out the closed qualifier for unknown reasons

Complexity have just begun their campaign in the closed qualifier, in which they have been matched up against SAW in the opening round of the double-elimination bracket.

Currently ranked fifth in the world, the European-American side had been by far the biggest favorite of the tournament, but the substitution is sure to decrease their chances among the competition, which includes names such as Sprout, MOUZ, and North.

HLTV.org has reached out to Complexity for a comment. The organization's CEO, Jason Lake, will be hosting a press conference at 18:30 on his Twitch channel.
