peca joins FPX as General Manager
FunPlus Phoenix have signed Petar "peca" Marković as its new General Manager, the organization has announced.
The Serbian will be in charge of building the organization's new team and split his duties between managing its CS:GO and VALORANT divisions.
"Our main goal is to create a competitive, stable and winning roster that will be climbing the top of the HLTV.org ranking list in no time," the 28-year-old told HLTV.org. "My focus until the end of this year is going to be on finding and selecting players that would be interested in building this fortress."
"I'm now calling all of the tier-one players: If you are stuck with a wrong team or wrong organization and you think that you deserve a better home or better teammates, feel free to reach out to me via email or Twitter at any time," peca stated. "I'm always open for discussions, and we are ready to pay for quality."

He will be in a race against the clock to put together a new lineup for FunPlus Phoenix, as the second season of Flashpoint, where FPX is one of the member organizations, is expected to run in November.
peca is perhaps best known for his time coaching Valiance in 2018 and later managing CR4ZY following the rebranding of the organization, which peaked at No. 12 in the ranking after placing 9th-11th with the lineup featuring Nemanja "nexa" Isaković, Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač, Otto "ottoNd" Sihvo, Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas, and Nestor "LETN1" Tanić.
More recently, the Serbian turned his focus to broadcast production in his home country with Relog Media, who hosted tournaments such as Home Sweet Home and Nine to Five and produced the Eden Arena: Malta Vibes series.
peca will hope to turn the Chinese-based side's luck around in CS:GO after their entry into the game was filled with drama. FPX became a franchise team in Flashpoint early this year and entered the tournament with the former Heroic roster, but the deal between the two organizations fell through at the last minute as Astralis swooped in to snatch away Patrick "es3tag" Hansen.
FunPlus Phoenix went on to search for a temporary team in the franchised tournament series, first setting their sights on Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir's Swole Patrol before eventually fielding the former Bad News Bears lineup around Peter "ptr" Gurney.
