XigN leaves BTRG

The former MVP PK player called out the Chinese organisation and said that he is now looking for a new challenge.

Hyun-Pyo "⁠XigN⁠" Lee has parted ways with BTRG, the South Korean player revealed on Friday. In a Twitter post, the 23-year-old explained that he left the Chinese organisation "due to several breaches" of his contract.

XigN becomes the third player after Anthony "⁠ImpressioN⁠" Lim and Kevin "⁠Eeyore⁠" Gunawan to leave BTRG in the last two weeks. The Singaporean player, who will captain a new international team called NG, also complained of BTRG not honouring their agreements during the last three months of the team.

XigN is on the lookout for a new team to represent

XigN is mostly known for his two-year stint with MVP PK, during which he attended several Big Events, including ESL One Cologne 2019 and the IEM Sydney events in 2018 and 2019. He left the famed Korean organisation in September 2019 to start his own team alongside Hae-Sung "⁠HSK⁠" Kim and Hong-Gyo "⁠Jinx⁠" Jung, but the squad disbanded without attending any tournaments of note.

That does sound like a very good team. For an AWPer maybe CaptainMo or Savage... If not chinese then maybe Splashke or Olivia. The big problem with asian teams is communication. If they aren't all from the same country I mean. BnTeT once said while in Tyloo he had to translate Mandarin to english and then to indonesian. Now imagine a team with 3 chinese speakers, with a korean one and if for awper Olivia, someone who speaks Thai. It's not a team it's a russian salad (a mess). But without that in mind, yeah that does sound like a good team! XigN will have to play with non korean teammates for a while... Gosh I miss Korean cs... fucking valorant Edit: Just found out HSK never retired for Valorant. So that could be this team awper.

During last year's cologne competition, I was very proud that the Korean team advanced to the finals even though I was a fan of Tyloo who lost at that time. Fucking Balorant, all the Korean players turned to that. If they're looking for an offer, isn't it okay to use xcc in BTRG? The momentum of 2018 was really terrifying.

BTRG pretty much communicate using English. NG definitely want that core roster ImpressioN, Xign and Xccurate. Idk about Xccurate loan's status but they probably could work on It. Impression said the roster will consist of different nationalities. Maybe one spot for TH player since NG is based in Thailand. Could be Genius since he already worked with ImpressioN in BTRG. For the last spot Idk but definitely will be player that could speak decent English. Maybe other SEA based player from MY or PH.

XigN, ImpressioN and Xcc... I mean that would just be BTRG under another name. Which I wouldn't mind, but I'm hoping for something different, like new players. Genius seems like a good option and as you said already worked with ImpressioN so their chemistry shouldn't be bad. if another player would have to be from SEA I would like to see D4v41. Very underrated MY player. Also, do you know any website that focus mainly on asian scene? I use liquipedia but there's barely info about asian players and teams...
