DreamHack Masters Winter NA closed qualifier invites determined

Triumph is joined by three Brazilian squads on the team list for the qualifier, which will be held Sunday.

DreamHack has announced that Triumph, TeamOne, Yeah, and paiN have all been invited to compete in the closed qualifier for DreamHack Masters Winter North America. The quartet will be joined by four teams coming from the open stage, which is currently underway.

The event will mark paiN's first big opportunity to prove themselves since arriving in the United States at the start of September. The Brazilian team have already achieved a runner-up finish to Triumph in the fourth ESEA Summer Cash Cup and a title victory in the WINNERS League FPL Cup.

Yeah announced on Friday that they will field former Rugratz member Tyler "⁠tweiss⁠" Weiss as a stand-in for Alef "⁠tatazin⁠" Pereira, who recently returned to Brazil after the organisation moved him to the bench.

The closed qualifier will play out in its entirety on October 4, seeing eight teams battle through a single-elimination, best-of-three bracket in a bid for two spots in the main tournament, in which they will join Liquid, Evil Geniuses and four other invitees.

why invite a relegated advanced team??? only Teamone has earned an invite....triumph horrible AF and pain???

None of the four teams are relegated Advanced teams? TeamOne have been in MDL, Triumph are in EPL, paiN just arrived in NA and Yeah had to play in ESEA Open last season to get into Advanced this season.

i confused yeah with infinity...either way why invite them??? they are horrible.... you really think they deserve the invite let alone stand a chance...way better teams in MDL than them...triumph on their way out(0-7) of pro league and pain....lol...like i said Teamone has earned the invite the others havent...prove me wrong
