LUCAS1 leaves Imperial

The former Immortals and MIBR player is once again a free agent after playing just three tournaments with the team.

Lucas "⁠LUCAS1⁠" Teles has stepped down from Imperial, the Brazilian player revealed on Tuesday. The announcement brings to an end his brief association with the team, having been recruited less than two months ago as a replacement for Denis "⁠dzt⁠" Fischer.

LUCAS1 is out of Imperial after only two months

"I would like to thank Imperial for their support during this period and the players," he wrote in a Twitlonger post. "About my future, what I have to say that it will surely be great and that God is in control!"

LUCAS1 had been inactive for seven months when he joined Imperial. He averaged a 0.97 rating during his time with the team, who had a bootcamp in Serbia prior to the final Regional Major Ranking (RMR) tournament of the year in South America, Tribo to Major, in which they finished in fifth place with just one victory in the round-robin stage.

In the Brazilian team, the 25-year-old reunited with his former teammates Gustavo "⁠SHOOWTiME⁠" Gonçalves and Lincoln "⁠fnx⁠" Lau. The trio were part of the Games Academy lineup that moved to North America in late 2015 after winning the Golden Chance tournament.

With LUCAS1's departure, Imperial currently have:

Could also be the other way round, imo. Guerri already confirmed that Furia wants to add a sixth player, and it wouldn't surprise me if Lucas1 would take an opportunity to work with Hen1 again, if he got an offer as Furias sixth.

Yeah that's true. Would also prefer them taking another guy, but because of his connection to Hen1 he was the first guy I thought about as soon as Guerri made that statement. Still not sure how many better options there are for Furia though. There surely aren't too many BR players that are fine with being the 6th guy and still are T1 players.
