100 Thieves core in talks with EXTREMUM - Report

The Russian organisation is looking to bring on the Oceanic trio alongside two European players to compete on the Old Continent.

EXTREMUM are targeting the 100 Thieves trio of Aaron "⁠AZR⁠" Ward, Jay "⁠Liazz⁠" Tregillgas, and Sean "⁠Gratisfaction⁠" Kaiwai to form a new Europe-based roster, according to a report from DBLTAP. The three players have been in search of a new place to call home since 100 Thieves announced their intention to pull out of CS:GO in mid-October.

DBLTAP had previously reported that Liazz was in discussions with Gen.G, but now reports that despite those talks, 100 Thieves and the trio of players are engaged in an ongoing discussion with EXTREMUM.

AZR, Liazz, and Gratisfaction may play under the same banner once again

The Russian organisation, which is reportedly funded by private investors, would look to move the three Oceanic members to Europe, where they would be joined by two additional European players in order to complete the roster.

Notably, the core of AZR, Liazz, and Gratisfaction currently remain qualified for the next Valve Major despite a 40% deduction to their Regional Major Ranking (RMR) points following the departure of Justin "⁠jks⁠" Savage and Joakim "⁠jkaem⁠" Myrbostad. If the move was to come to fruition, the team would need to return to North America to hold on to their Major slot if any further RMR events unfold.

It's more denial then anything... You'll get the NA sucks anyways, EU>>>NA, etc. But at the end of the day losing a major region just hurts the overall quality of the esport. But I mean... CSGO is still going to do well because EU & Brazil are super strong and of course betting! CSGO has to be number 1 in terms of esports betting and that helps a lot. Anyways, yeh... Like you said though NA CS dying isn't good even if hltv thinks otherwise.
