Vitality eliminate Complexity from IEM Global Challenge

The European team's short stint with Otto "⁠ottoNd⁠" Sihvo at the last event of the year ended with a last-place finish.

The Frenchmen put on a dominant showing up against Complexity, who had ottoNd standing in for Valentin "⁠poizon⁠" Vasilev at the IEM Global Challenge after the Bulgarian AWPer had to undergo emergency surgery shortly before the kick-off of the event.

The Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer-led side was no match for Vitality in the elimination series as they exited the tournament after two convincing losses, with Mathieu "⁠ZywOo⁠" Herbaut & co. moving on to Group B's decider.

shox tipped the scales in Vitality's favor with three clutches on Nuke

Complexity opted to start the series on Nuke, where Vitality had just begun playing with Nabil "⁠Nivera⁠" Benrlitom instead of Kévin "⁠misutaaa⁠" Rabier the day before, so far without success after they lost the map to BIG in the tournament's opener.

The opening half saw the two teams tug back and forth, but neither was able to grab hold of momentum for more than a couple of rounds. The scales only tilted towards Vitality when Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon stepped up to the plate with back-to-back-to-back clutches, pulling off a 1v2, 1v1, and a 1v4 to kick off a dominant run for the Frenchmen, who then quickly closed the map 16-9.

Complexity's chances went from bad to worse when the match turned to Dust2. The opening pistol round was all blameF's team could muster for most of the first half, with Vitality's relentless offense yielding them a 13-round streak. The Frenchmen didn't let the European side suffer for too long despite losing the second pistol round, as well, emerging victorious at 16-3.

rush is supporting k0nfig and jks rush drops m4a4 to jks and plays on famas rush rotates b when theres no one there he is a support player, he tanks the stats so his team can be better, but even then his team isnt good

the truth is this team is just a marketing stint and the whole juggernaut colossus meme will make clown9 relevant for a few more events. Hopefully by the end of 2021 csgo will be back to normal where tier 3 teams just play mdl

Indeed. What made apex become such a good igl all of a sudden? (Coach doin most of the heavy liftning?) People called him peanut brain before lol. Nivera = up and coming superstar, while misutaaa steped up heavily since ”risking” his spot on the team. Even rpK is back in shape and shox more motivated than ever. Nice too see.

Agreed. APEX dedication is REALLY admirable, sure they had the choke period but now they're the team to beat. From inexperienced IGL to No.1 IGL in French scene and consistently showing in competitions whether online/offline. That's something to be proud about

Last man of Vitality is 0.25 rating ahead of the best player in Col. That tells you a lot about the game

the first map was closer than the score suggests, Vitality really wasn't impressive and Nivera doesn't seem comfortable yet on nuke, shox had great clutches and they won because of that the 2nd map was a complete destruction, how can you win both pistols and lose 16/3? I still hope to see more of otto soon

Vitality is looking pretty good atm., small changes and they could be the strongest lineup we have ever seen. And it's sad to say, but Complexity is looking totally dead, maybe it's because they played with the stand-in, but poizon hasn't been showing up anyway so Idk. They are in a really bad spot atm.

i would not say that on online matches on LANs its really a miss to figure out who will be the best team because there are teams like astralis liquid and navi who activate themselves on LANs and seeing vitality on LANs its a mixed opinion them keeping the competition will be great lets just wait for kato 2021 ;)
