H2k add SpawN & zneel

H2k-Gaming have announced their full line-up, adding Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed and Jim "zneel" Andersson to the squad.

The Swedish team had been in the market for new blood since watching Johan "face" Klasson and Frej "kHRYSTAL" Sjöström leave for SK Gaming last month.

H2k-Gaming had added Jim "zneel" Andersson and Christian "floreNz" Shahan to their Extreme Masters European Championship roster on a temporary basis, so that they could field a five-man line-up for their scheduled encounters.

However, that will not be necessary anymore as H2k-Gaming have finally completed their squad: Andersson has been given a permanent spot on the team, while Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed has joined as a stand-in for the European Championship and WCG 2009, after which the team will decide his fate.

This move marks the return of Mohamed to competitive play, the Swedish veteran being out of action since playing for Blank at the Extreme Masters III Finals in March. The former NiP and SK star has been very busy promoting ZOWIE GEAR's products and he will now hope for a quick return to form.

“I have known the H2K guys for a while and played with them before, I know they are very talented and great guys, I have also heard great things about zneel and I am happy to be a stand in for the WCG event," Mohamed told H2k-Gaming's website. "This will be interesting and I am really looking forward to it.”

As for Andersson, the former Begrip player teams up with H2k-Gaming following a short-lived stint with SK which saw him be removed, together with Marcus "zet" Sundström, just weeks after his arrival.

“Joining this new fresh H2k-team feels like a really good challenge for me, and of course, I couldn’t say no to that," Andersson added. "The team itself feels like a really good mix of players – everyone with their own type of skill, and that’s what makes this project so interesting. And with the given time I’m sure we will compete at the highest level! I’m really looking forward playing with these guys.”

agree with #158, you never replace a guy like FYRR73, i thought FYRR73 deserved a spot in sk...he is amazing with every gun, just like khrystal and delpan.. SpawN don't just fucking retire after wcg, if you do bad, who cares??? you gotta stick around and get your old form back and it'll probably take some time, even if you think you are ready..

I hope you guys do notice the difference between SpawN and zet. SpawN has never played CS:Source competitively in his entire career. zet did, which is probably the main reason why he kinda lost it abit.. If I recall correctly, SpawN has always been keeping himself in shape during his recent retirement. He stated it himself, he never stopped playing CS. (he scrims/pracc a lot) I don't think his long 'retirement' will affect his aim and in-game smarts and what not.

glad floreNz left, this is a very strong roster, niko is one of the most underrated players in Europe, that kid a beast, if Tentpole came back and joined H2k that would just be awesome. This lineup is extremely talented, if they form good chemistry they can easily compete with the Swedish Big3 in SK/MYM/fnatic, IMO with chemistry they will be better than SK/MYm, cant wait to see them at WCG And for those of you saying his comeback will be a disaster are retarded, first off he never fully quit, he played in almost every single Swedish LAN Event with pugs like Blank and ript every single one of the them, search demos on here of "Blank" and you'll see. SpawN is one of the most dedicated players in CS and my friend in Sweden said he practices nd plays more than any other player, so I highly doubt his return is going to be a "disaster", with zneel and niko on his team look for him to drop bombs once again.
